MBEARDEN
Any thoughts about a Caterham that is right hand drive...I imagine that getting used to driving it wouldn't be too hard. The scary part is pulling out to pass someone...you would have to get the entire car in the left hand lane to see if the lane is clear.... That said...shouldn't a RHD car have some price discount. The car is in the US and registered here.

MBEARDEN
Sorry ...I did a better search and found lots of comments about this issue...overall it sounds like a negative.
MoBoost
If the car is nice, this should not deter you. Passing has never been a problem for me; narrow, fast car gets it done. ATM's and toll booths are a bigger problem, but big deal.
escondidoron
I've posted on this topic before, based on my experience driving my S2 (RHD) here in the U.S.. Recently I had an opportunity to ride in my car as a passenger….for the 1st time. It was soooo weird sitting on the left side with no pedals or steering wheel. Not good or bad, just weird. For the 1st 1/2 hour or so I kept trying to steer and use the pedals….that aren't there. Not bad after getting used to it. But it sure was weird at 1st. BusaNostra
In my opinion, the hardest part is knowing 99.9 % of drivers drives on the left and you drive on the right position. Will you be able to make a split second decision in a life threatening situation? If yes, go for it.
lancylad
Mine is a RHD and no problems at all, if anything it makes you even more aware of and alert to the rest of the driving world around you. A bit more caution when overtaking..but thats a good thing isnt it?
blubarisax
I had a RHD Land Rover Series 80. I never tried to pass anyone, but it was sure easy to parallel park.
danilo
C'mon.. demand and GET a healthy price correction for the RHD. Despite all claims it IS a PITA to live with. Been there done that. One can convret to LHD fairly easily. on these cars of all cars . And if there is no satisfaction re a decent price reduction Keep yer CAsh and wait.. Average tenure of these cars is 18 months.. true... just wait a bit longer for one that fills your needs
MoBoost
I agree, get what you want. But, 26 years in a RHD car has certainly never been a PITA for me!
