NJMP trackday today

Just finished a great day here at NJMP and I'm resting up for another one tomorrow.

Pretty crowded in the intermidiate run group today. Just a couple of slowpokes that didn't like to give point bys can really bog down a lap.

We needed the Kitcat to put the fear of God in them.:jester:

One poor guy lost it on the last lap of the 3rd session, on turn 5 the blind off camber one, for those of you who have run here. He went off on the left and then shot back across the track and hit the tire wall. head on. 2005 Elise. Front clam is toast. Felt bad for him as the checkered flag was just a corner away when he lost it. :nopity:

Other than that, weather is perfect, and I'm haveing fun. Wish you were here.

Which circuit Tom, T-bolt?

Oh yeah, slow pokes, they make me do things I later regret:)!

I am headed to Mid-O nxt Monday in the Birkin if has been de-bugged, or the Caterham if not (wish I had a 2 car trailer!)

Had another great day at Thunderbolt with the SCDA guys yesterday. 30 plus cars in the intermidiate group again but other than 2 slow/clueless drivers that we all complained about, it was a good event. Once you got by the slow guys the track opened up and was fine until you lapped the guys again. There was a Factory Ford racing mustang that sounded awesome, althought when I let him and his buddy in the Ferrari pass, I couldn't even hear my own car, that's how loud he was.

I may do Saturday and or Sunday member trackdays but 4 days in a week might be too much. We'll see. Weather looks perfect though.

Once winter sets in I'll start next year's windup for another group outing.

Tom - Once I get on the airplane on Sunday and escape Europe, I want to coordinate with you about joining you for a member day or two this year while I still have a chance to use the car. Are ring-ins allowed?

Croc, the only scheduled Qualifed members day left is Saturday Nov 12th. Karl and Ron may also be interested iin doing that day.

The remaining member days are Sept 17, 18. Fri. Sep 23 Monday Oct 10th. Fri.& sat Oct. 20,21. And Sat. Sun Nov 12th and 13th.

On none qualified days, they usually only let guests drive in the novice group which is with a pace car and no passing. I'll see if they will make an exception for potential members ;)

Yes I can make it. I am out to Asia on 11/16 to 11/26 so a track day before that that will work.

I will be in top form - I took some time out to visit Nurburgring in a rental seven for 20 laps. Wow...made a huge difference compared to the old Alfa 75 I rented previous trip. No pics sorry as some doofus left his camera at the hotel....

Croc:

Who did you rent the se7en from? What version se7en? My law partner rented a Suzuki Swift, and did some laps there this summer, so now I HAVE to do it to keep up w/him. Of course, doing the 'Ring in a se7en wld be way cooler.

Tom:

Is 11/12 a date that is open to all se7eners? I mite be able to squeeze in a final track day before the snow blows.

Mike, I will ask this weekend when I go, if there is any limit to the number of guests I can bring on a day. You, Croc,Karl and Ron? Any one else before I inquire?

If I get a positive response from the Track, I'll see if they will allow you on both days.
