Alpine Motorsports Club

Track configuration is a fustercluck. If it stays that way your dues and initiation fees are going to skyrocket before completion when the futures costs and intake are figured. I got the same email, and it would be a nice diversion. i love the elevation changes.

If the track gets reworked so at least 2 simultaneous circuits can be running, your money is not being pushed into a black hole. I'd also be looking for SCCA and NASA approvals before construction or they'll learn their lesson like MMC.

Alpine has been an on going project for over 10 years, investor issues caused it to lay dormant, local (town) issues where also an issue. Will be interesting to see if they actually break ground this time (this is the third email in 5 years I've received). The other interesting "soon to be built track" is Libertybell Motorsport Park, http://libertybellmp.com/ While their web site is not as slick as Alpine, they have all approvals and financing in place and are truly set to break ground this spring.

I think I like the Liberty Bell layout better. It looks fairly flat in the photos but hopefully they work some elevation changes into it. From looking at their website they dont seem to have a member program like Alpine, NJMP or MMC.

Nice observation - I had not focused on the track configuration.

What was the issue with non-approval of MMC? Did they try for it or did they screw up?

If I was making motorsports park, I would want to shore up as much possible revenue as I could. A single track leaves only one option per day. being able to run 2 circuits simultaenously can allow one track to be rented while members play on the other. flip it forthe other day of the weekend.

Liberty Bell seems to be dealing with reality. especially when the competetion is Pocono, Summit Point, NJMP, the Glen, and BeaveRun.

MMC build their track w/o consulting any other organization. They had it built and then asked the regions if they wanted to rent it out. It failed in numerous run off areas. I thinkl these were fixed last year when they had the track sut down for a few months.

Living just 4 miles (as the crow flies) from the proposed LBM track, I can see some elevation changes, but nothing like WGI or LRP, at least not unless they are planning to move around an awful lot of acreage. However, it will be far more than NJMP.
