Hi All,

I am French recently re-located in the DC Metro area. While in France as a Caterham owner (3 different one then an Elise now) I am actively involved in the French association of Seven like owners called, Sevener.

The association has a magazine (quarterly) which will see it's 7th :hurray: Publication end of Q1 2012. I have been tasked to write an article about the use of a Seven in the US so I wanted to meet and chat with 7 owners around...

Anybody up for a coffee?

Well, my old seven is all mangled, and the new one is in some stage of fabrication, but there are a few around here that we could pull together.

Michael D - Bethesda

Jeff D - Norther VA

Scott (914n951) MD

Norm - MD

Dermott - MD

There are probably 10 others local.

JohanO,

Welcome to the US and to the USA7 community! Please do not think that the Northern VA/Maryland and esp. the Metro DC area is "typical" of the US, and not typical of use of the LSIS cars in the US. I lived in Fairfax County, VA, for eight years, and actually took a sports car there. While there is some great driving out from DC, in every direction, I feared for myself and the car most of the time in the immediate area. That area has a lot of traffic, congestion, and drivers who are not typical of the US. I was very happy when I got to leave.

Perhaps telephone conversations with owners in other parts of our country would help develop your article?

Johan,

I live in Manassas, VA and would be happy to share, if you think that would help. I'm pretty busy with work and all, but maybe we could coordinate our schedules.

Welcome to the DC area. we have several Sevens in this area. In fact we are planning a Sevens Burgers and Beer for early January to be held in Bethesda, MD. You are most welcome to join us.

Send me your email and I will add you to the local Sevens List so you know when we set the date.

Taber,

What are you talking about? I have probably put over 25,000 miles on my Seven in the DC metro area alone. I drive the 495, 270, 95 all the time. It's no big deal as long as you pay attention.

Michael,

Any details on this? I'd like to make it, schedule permitting. And since the local Cobra group just had its beer & chilidog Holiday breakfast at the Vienna Inn, I'm confident my digestive system is prepared for more of the same.
