rikker Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 Maybe he found the emblem and decided to stick it on anyway... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1968-MG-LOTUS-7-Replica-SUPERCHARGED-/280804872868?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item41614652a4#ht_562wt_1163
MHKflyer52 Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 About the only thing I see that is maybe an MG is the VIN number. Cool car with a different twist to what a 7 might be......maybe an off shoot of Frankin7.....:smilielol5:....:driving:
pi7ot Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 It needs some 18" red steelies, white sidewalls and a bike engine. :hat: m
11Budlite Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 I agree with Martin about the MG VIN number. How about this one for an MG/Lotus connection. It's an original MG TC that was race-modified back before the Seven S1 was first produced. Obviously the chassis and suspension are nothing like a Seven but the look, especially from the front, is similar to a Seven but overall it's probably more closely related to a Lotus Mark VI: [/url]http://www.britishracecar.com/DanLeonard-MG-TC.htm
Automoda Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 Yeah I've seen that car before. People say its ugly but I say, with a little work on the body, it could be made into a 7 at least as 7ish as some of the more track-oriented kits out there. It all depends on whether it is mechanically well built. It looks like it might be a lot of bang for the buck.
86Sebring Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 that car was for sale a while ago on craigslist for 11k. http://www.usa7s.org/vb/showthread.php?t=6881 Strange how it has not sold yet. Perhaps too much hp for the chassis?
