slngsht Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 My cat came with a 5/8" and a 3/4" master. Anyone know which goes to rear or front?
yellowss7 Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 Mazda, any chance that one is the clutch Master cylinder? Tom
slngsht Posted February 1, 2012 Author Posted February 1, 2012 doubt it... the pedal it came with had a balance bar.
SkinnyG Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 On my Locost I put a 5/8" on the rear, and 3/4" on the front (more pressure to the rears - less weight on the front).
rnr Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 Assuming equal rotors and calipers I would want the 5/8th on the front and 3/4 on the rear. My ultralite came with equal setups front to rear and terrible rear lockup issues until I went to a larger rear MC.

jbanker Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 I have drums in the back... Mazda, I have the same set up; disc front, drums rear. RNR is correct with smaller MC working the front disc and larger MC working the rear drums. The front brakes do the most work and a smaller MC will require less pedal effort. Jack
