Jackal Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 Hi Everyone, My Birkin didn't come with door hinges for the doors, just the posts (x4) for the windshield. I have found that purchasing these parts new is pretty expensive, and I am having to look at fabricating some or finding some extras that folks have laying around. I onlly need the parts for the doors, but will purchase the posts as well if it works out better for the deal. Let me know what you've got. Thanks.
wemtd Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 If MHKflyer52 doesn't sort it out for you, check McMaster. i think i saw the corresponding hinge (door part) substitute while browsing their catalog.
Ian7 Posted May 24, 2012 Posted May 24, 2012 are you looking for those black plastic Caterham pieces that bolt on with two bolts, and have a brass hinge pin pressed in to one half?
Jackal Posted May 24, 2012 Author Posted May 24, 2012 You have a PM Thanks for that. I did a quick google search, and I found a gardening site. Is that the one?

I think so. On the windshield I have the posts for the doors. I'm missing the hardware that bolts to the door, and hangs on the windshield posts. I was thinking of welding a tube on to a plate and bolting that to the door. I'd rather get a proper set though.
