DeanD3W
Surprised to find on foxnews web site... http://www.foxnews.com/leisure/slideshow/2012/09/28/hottest-new-cars/?intcmp=features#slide=1 Found under "Features and Faces" towards the bottom of foxnews.com I'm not sure what motorcycle they're referring to that would be heavier than 1100 pounds..? Maybe a deluxe Boss Hoss. Dean

Dean When I did the Harley Davidson factory tour in Reading PA they said the average weight of their bikes was 1200 pounds. I bet the Japanese bikes are lighter though! 11Budlite
Not sure which model they were talking about Mike, but I thought most H-D's were in the 600-900 pound range. I know my son-in-laws Suzuki is under 500 pounds....I think it's a GSX-R600.
Kitcat
A quick stop at HD's website shows your weight # is a bit high Croc: Looks like the heaviest machine they make is a trike, at almost 1200lbs. But the Sportster is under 600 lbs and the big touring rigs 800 lbs. I suspect the # you were given was GVW (bike + riders+luggage).

blubarisax
My Road King with every conceivable bit of chrome on it was still less than 900#. Only 10% as much fun as the Caterham!
