Finished sump project

Done , and done, and done again,... Sump change finished.

Raised the ride height one inch all around; need to raise the rear the cannonic +15mm more to set balance. I have read about ride height settings. 150mm front, 165mm rear. What is the reference point for this measurement??

Redline sump does give lots more ground clearance. Ready to rock and the weather is perfect. BLAT!

I believe the front measurement is taken at the point where the motor mount bolts protrude and the rear measurement is taken at the front of rear wing.

My car is not a Cat and would be considered a Locost and I used 5.75in or 146mm at the front and used the front edge of the lower frame tube as the reference point and 6.5in or 165mm at the rear and used the rear bulkhead and lower frame tube joint as that reference point when measuring the ride height with full fluids and no passengers. Main thing is to use the same reference points when setting up you ride height and checking it after you have run the vehicle and things settle in.

As I understand it, the first thing you do is get the bottom a-arms of the front suspension as close to level to the ground as possible. Once this is done, you want a 10-15% rake measured on the chassis bottom tubes.

 

I just did this after finally getting adjustable suspension collars and installing the wide-track kit on my '97 De Dion.
