Klasik-69 Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 $19,500 for this pile of parts ? Seller appears to be an experienced eBay seller with 226 sales/purchases so I doubt he bought this to work on it himself, but just a guess. If he gets more than $8K for this, I'd be surprised. I think it's worth about $2,500 in this condition.
DeanG Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 I think $18K is reasonable for a series 1 in this condition. It has been validated (although I would check with the registrar), It originally delivered with a BMC-A engine which makes it very drivable. The 15' turner wheels are quite rare. Most of the difficult to source parts are included. With a bit more space and cash that car would be mine.

After looking at the other photos in the ebay link I would have to say this would be a whole lot of work and would never be an original series 1 as you would have to remake a lot of the parts and most of the frame from what I can see. Would be interesting to know why the front of the frame has been cut off and a square tube front frame section comes with the parts. My thinking is the car was crashed very hard at some point and time.
danilo Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 Ebay is the Official shopping centre for Idiots by Idiots.. No News there. But even there, No one was foolish enough to meet the ridiculous Starting bid price.
