Those prices.. none. NONE of them make sense. Consider the $66,000 VW beatle.

 

You could have any of those cars recreated in titanium and aluminum for a fraction of the selling price. Thats a lot of money to put on being 'original' and 'collectible'.

 

Shows you where the economy is going. Since its micro cars, someone could make a joke about 'inflation' without too much effort ;o)

$9K for a popcorn machine (maybe it came with a lifetime supply of popcorn?). Certainly the collector who amased, and now has sold, these little cars looks like a financial genius.

I was able to visit the museum before the auction. Just about everything was super shiny. I was also amazed at what they sold for. I'm sure very few will hit the streets except for display or demonstration run. Most of the examples 0 to 60 times were ... um never! But it was fun to see them.
