I think if I had bought an Eleven instead of a Seven, my wife would be more into it.

unless it was $75K

You should have one of each. Just tell her it's a great investment!! :D

my problem is I can't leave these cars alone after I get them. Buying an original is probably not a good idea for me :)

That is a truly stunning vehicle. Makes me wish I did something for a living that really paid well. But I love my job nonetheless.

But that car can make one second guess everything.

This will sound like a tale but I swear it's true. In the early 70s I believe 72 I had a AC Bristol that had been repowered by an aluminum Buick, I couldn't keep stub shafts in it. I lived in Alameda and met a kid that had an 11 that he wanted to trade for the AC. He left it with me for a couple of days to try out. It was terrifying to drive in Bay Area traffic. RHD, 4WDB(had to nearly use both feet to stop it), Coventry engine, boat windshield to make it kinda street legal. I'm sorry to say I passed on the deal. Knowing what I do now I kick myself but I would have probably destroyed it and myself after I would have put an alfa 1300 in it.

Man, they are beautiful cars... I found this photo I took at the Goodwood Festival in the late 90's. Much as I hate polishing Ali, the results are sometimes magic.
