Must be LHD due to the new prejudice against RHD cars (otherwise I'd be all over that hayabusa-engined rhd 7 listed in Toronto kijiji!). bsimon Posted June 23, 2013 Share Posted June 23, 2013 Driving a RHD car on NA roads isn't as much of a problem as you might think. Popping from the shoulder into the oncoming lane to overtake does test the passenger's composure at times... Most folks do instantly recognize your car as British, however a few cheeky individuals will question your ability to reach the postboxes on your rural route. They claimed safety concerns despite a complete lack of supporting data. The suspicion was that this was a sop to car dealers who didn't like the competition from 15 year old Japanese imports. Oyagi Posted June 29, 2013 Author Share Posted June 29, 2013 Sorry, been away for a spell.... What I mean is that it is getting harder and harder to find insurance for rhd cars in Ontario. I have owned 2 rhd JDM skyline GTRs and my old Fejer 7, all insured under Hagerty. I was looking into importing a rhd Caterham and found out Hagerty no longer will carry RHDs unless they are at least 25 years old. My regular insco, Intact wont touch RHDs either.
