3 cylinder turbo Caterham

Caterham just announced its new entry level 7 using a Suzuki turbo engine. It will have a 5 speed transmission and a live axle all provided by Suzuki. All the press I read was from outside the U.S. and doubt it was designed with the USA in mind. I was at Caterham USA in May and they were building a new car and I think the engine is from the Ford Fiesta with the idea of being a more affordable car. When I lived in Japan I had a Suzuki Cappuccino - it had a 660cc Turbocharged engine and was loads of fun. That engine was a great engine!

My AZ-1 has the same engine, just mid engine instead of front, and yes the car is a blast to drive!
