Jackal
There are plenty of online distributors. Tower hobbies, pm Hobbycraft and others. I prefer supporting my local shops. Easier to get what you need and what will fit the first time around. Mine just shipped and I can't wait to see it. I also asked Banzai about the clear bodies and they said they will inquire about it. I see a flying tiger paint job and cycle fenders in my near future. Lol
coffee break
I was wondering if there would be a voltage problem with the charger. Well, since I will be looking in the domestic market that shouldn't be a problem. :flag: Also, all the instructions are in Japanese. So I'll have my daughter read them for me. AndyB
I'm away on business and had no time to have a close look before I left but it appears components like ESC and receiver will have to be small or a combined unit so take the chassis when you go to your local hobby store. Lol I can see it now; you start small and the next thing you know, the Birkin follows suit. . . . . . Of course, you'll need a new helmet and fancy driving suit to go with the 'new' aggressive look. :cooldude:

The chargers themselves should be fine with the power we have in North America 120 VAC as opposed to 100 VAC in Japan. The charger will only use what it needs. There is a huge selection of smaller electronics available. There are significantly smaller scales of RC that have the tiny electronics. I plan on going Brushless with mine. It should give you remarkable speed and rub time. Inquire about it at your local hobby stop.

Jackal
Yay!!! http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l294/nivaguy/97AF0395-8864-46EF-8DCC-F7840B89842A_zpsbzpr70qr.jpg http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l294/nivaguy/0A61EE7D-23C5-4CB4-B5F0-BFC2D0CD28E9_zps8m3sgpii.jpg Edit: Well I finally got the electrics I needed for the beast. I had to scour my hobby bins for the speed controller, and found a sweet Copperhead 11 turn motor for the car. It will boogey with that motor. I had to by a new charger and Lipo battery for it though. The Lipo is the only size that would fit and because this is the first Lipo I have owned, a balancing charger was needed. The fit for the electrics is a bit tight. The space under the main chassis topper is minimal. I'll have to carve away some of the nonessential plastic to make it all fit. Maybe I'll find a small brushless setup later, but for now the old electronic speed controller and Copperhead will do. No luck finding the clear body for it unfortunately. I do have a couple ideas for cycle fenders for it, but may not waste time with it until I find the clear body and do the car up as I want the real one. Jackal
Finally got around to getting the electronics into the car. There is so little space in the car that I even had to take the speed controller out of the plastic case and mounted the circuit board directly into the car. Once I got the electrics in I took it for a test drive and it is bloody quick with the Copper Head motor in it. I have accidentally left burnout marks all over the kitchen floor. I also purchased some lexan and intend on making cycle fenders for the car. There are plenty of DIY videos for small vacuum tables on Youtube, and I figure it should be relatively easy to make the fenders. If I get good enough at that, I may try making a mold of the car as well, and then vacuum forming multiple bodies for it. That way I can paint up a good looking body for when on the shelf. I agree about the limited space in the chassis. It took me three trips a hobby shop to get parts that should fit. Haven't gotten around to piecing it together yet. AndyB
I bought mini/micro receiver, ESC and a low profile servo. Trying to stay with the "Add Lightness" theme. Just waiting for a couple batteries, no one had them in stock. Still trying to figure out how to get a clear body kit out of Yokomo. Also disappointed about wheel size, not to much choice. I wanted to find a 5 spoke similar to my Revolutions.
Jackal
The wheel size shouldn't be too difficult, but make sure you get the right ones. There is one wheel slightly different than the other three. The body is out of stock currently on the yokomo website. I can't find the link to email them though. Anyone know Japanese? That's why I thought about even vacuum forming my own. Edited March 19, 2014 by Jackal

I found a support link and e-mailed them I'll let you know what result I get. I would swear I saw one was slightly different. I think its the drivers side rear. It was slightly different on the inside hub. Let me know what you come up with for the body. I'm vacuum forming the cycle fenders in the next couple days and will post pictures if I'm successful. If not, I'll just try again. lol
AndyB
Finally got the electrics installed, today I'll bind the radio and see what she'll do. Also the clear body is on it's way, I bought it from tmnk42000 on ebay. Hopefully this link works. http://www.ebay.ca/itm/161263299953?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
slngsht
Years ago I had a Kyosho electric. Had a bunch of fun with it. Ran it straight into a brick wall when the battery ran low and lost control of throttle and steering. Back then solid state motor controls were on the high end. In retrospect, it would've saved the car.

Jackal
In addition to working around the condo, work on the car, prepping for a big Easter dinner tomorrow, and some time on the Halloween costume, I managed to do this.... http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l294/nivaguy/6D48AD6E-7DBF-49F5-AB6B-4B63C62DFD85_zpsep2dkgun.jpg http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l294/nivaguy/DD20C833-1F6D-4AA7-B1C7-DF1E44F7BC46_zps33hsxrur.jpg http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l294/nivaguy/AA1FCFB7-A2AA-4021-BB30-11FD40D28328_zps2zie9f7k.jpg This is exactly how I'd like Beatrice to look like someday. Maybe with a brown leather interior. Edited April 20, 2014 by Jackal
