That reminds me off the Chappral 2J aka the fan car built in 1970. I saw it a few months ago at his museum. Here is some data on it. Jim Hall really was an ingenious engineer. He built some highly competive cars in his small shop in Midland Tx

As far as I can tell, the Chaparral 2J raced in 1970 and the Brabham in the video debuted in 1978.

That was kinda my point. The same idea had been done 9 years earlier it was just in Can Am not Indy car. The fans were driven by different methods which was a bit different.
