  1. mine was a pretty general statement of holiday goodwill. i'm sorry you are not happy with it, or not happy with the holidays, but it doesn't change my good wishes for all in the coming year.
  2. any overruns or returns? just saw your post and i am interested. thanks!

  4. TRAILER FOR SALE: Top-of-the-line Continental Cargo enclosed car hauler in excellent condition. 2004 build. Box is 22' long x 8.5’ wide with 4' tongue. 3,780 pounds. Twin 5,200 # axles. Electric drum brakes are AL-KO 12" x 2" (brakes on both axles). No dents or collisions. Fully finished, inside and out. Includes every option. Previous owner was the original, and paid about $20,000 new. I bought it, and added several new pieces of gear. The big irony - the original owner put about a dozen trips on the trailer, and I added 7. This incredible rig has been on the road less than 20 times! Price $8,000. 5. What is your flavor of Seven, Speedwagon? And sorry to hear about your health - here's prayers for a better New Year.
  6. Yeah, verily!
  7. You're right - a steal in respect to fair value for ultimate sportscar performance. But most folks nowadays are reduced to minimum everything, and that includes transportation. Most can't afford a car that seats only two, can barely hold a gallon of milk, let alone bags of groceries, can't be driven in snow and barely in rain, destroys the most expensive female coifs in 3 seconds flat, and so on. In the obamconomy, the potential purchaser group for sevens is small, and getting smaller. Sevens are the ultimate middle-class sporter, providing supercar performance at Joe Sixpack prices. Unfortunately, these days, Joe Sixpack is reduced to buying sports cars that look suspiciously like Corollas with quart-sized tailpipes. Let's call him: Joe GIQ.
  8. Hard to tell from pix alone, but looks like that bar might be a knuckle basher when shifting, especially when the driver is distracted with other functions, like changing a lane, executing a pass and so on. Perhaps the idea was to impede a cockpit collapse in event of a longitudinal collision. Anyway, the car is well detailed and very clean, and has a torquier 2.2 motor (per Lorren).
  9. Just wondering - how did your heim joint selection work out? And was that price following the joint size for EACH or for all of the required joints in that size? If each - holy cow! Thanks!
  10. Here's the link. Price at time of this post was $6,767 (reserve not met). Located in Washington state. Done up nicely in BRG with Lotus yellow nose. Maybe a 2009 build. Built with a new s2000 motor and trans: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Lotus-Other-WCM-Ultralite-S2K-Lotus-Seven-7-replica-by-World-Class-Motorsports-Ultralite-S2K-/261126906587?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item3ccc6062db#v4-41
  11. 10-4, Loren! You will be first on the list. I have questions for you: Since I will be plugging in a 4.111 diff, seems like it would be a good time to change the rear suspension hiems to your recommended teflon-coated variety. Do the teflons last as long? Do they stay in adjustment as long? Can you supply them? Or at least a parts list for them? Thanks!
  12. What a great-looking Ultralite! Black makes small cars look sinister, and was my repaint choice - that is, until my wife laid eyes on the Suzuka-blue finish on Jeff's car. Now, I will have to settle for black trim. Are the wheels on your car 18's? How wide? Are the sizes symmetrical front to rear? Also, I ordered windscreens from Loren. I noticed that yours are mounted topside on the hood, instead of to the top of the dash just under the back edge of the hood. Did you fabricate your screens? Last question - are 7" Dietz-style lights appropriate for these cars, or too large? Loren turned me on to the 6" PIAA 525's, and I may yet use them, but 7" stainless Dietz's with halogen beams are 1/3 the cost. Advise if you can. And thanks for the warm welcome!
  13. Hi, Sprocket. You have already purchased the upgraded tow vehicle. Are you interested in trading up for a larger trailer? I have a top-of-the-line, fully-finished 28' dual axle. It is white exterior with 5 forged aluminum wheels, black-and-white vinyl floor, black cabinets with polished aluminum trim, white aluminum walls, ac flourescent and dc interior lighting, distributed power inside and out, dual halogen exterior floodlights, dc exterior ramp lighting, roll-up awning, formula-style ramp door (extended with low angle), built-in generator / air compressor / rubber-jawed vise / Craftsman Professional toolbox (in matching black, no less). Has floor-mounted d-rings and flush-mounted logistics tracks, so you can clip d-rings anywhere you want. Includes a new Superwinch with wired remote and a costly torsion-bar towing setup with a rubber-cushioned hitch (prevents trailer sway). All lights are good, brakes were just checked and bearings lubed, and tires are 90% with no dry rot on tires or stems. I'm new to this site and don't know how to add pix. My email is bruceakopitz@gmail.com My cell # is 810-938-1010. Contact me and I can send pix. I'm sorry to say, there aren't 20 total excursions on this trailer. I don't do enough track days, and I downsized from a Panoz GT to an Ultralite S2K, so now I am looking to downsize my trailer. PS - you can include a tutorial about adding pix to these messages, if you'd like. PSS - if you know Jeff Duncan, you can ask him about this trailer, as I used it to pick up the Ultralite I bought from him. Thanks, Bruce
  14. I am the new owner of a used Ultralite S2K (ex Steve, ex Jeff Duncan). I may be interested in a different set of wheels. Hub is 5 x 100 mm. Backspace is 5 1/2". Current forged aluminum wheels are SSR competitions, 7 1/2" frnt and 8 1/2" rear. I also own a set of 15" Diamond racing wheels. Anyone wishing to sell or trade their set of wider wheels, including 16" lightweight steel, please advise. bruceakopitz@gmail.com or 810-938-1010. Thanks!
