  1. I don't chime in often, but feel the need now. Oklahoma is flat, interspersed with some lovely rolling elevation changes. Kansas is just flat but has a lot of other stuff going for it. I hope our wonderful Aussie friend isn't turning into an East Coast elite. : ) Steve
  2. Hey Dan, Read your blog yesterday, rereading parts of it today. Nice blog! And you guys are doing a really nice job. Can't help but smile when reading about some of your frustrations with the manual. It reminds me of when my brother and I built a Donkervoort back in the mid-80's. The manual was in Dutch. But I remember a lot more of the tedious stuff was already completed, so it wasn't that bad. Good luck, I'll be following along. All the best, Steve
  3. Jefferson, I'm awfully sorry to hear the news about you and Shane. I hope you both recover quickly and without too much pain. Steve
  4. You guys may have seen it, but here is a really nice video of some really close racing Sevens (especially around 15:35). Steve

    Mozart

Yes, there was music. Played in the key of double D.
  6. Ha! Wasn't that "My Three Son"? with a sax playing? And where is our morning coffee read?
  7. I believe this is it: http://www.spcomponents.co.uk/
  8. Thanks a lot. I see what you mean now by a lighter flywheel actually actually being worse for a lower torque rated transmission (as the torque comes on more quickly I believe). The articles were helpful too. Steve
  9. I know a lighter flywheel doesn't lower torque, but would it be "easier" on a transmission? In other words, with an engine whose torque rating exceeds the transmission's torque rating, would a lighter flywheel (less inertia) make it less likely that the transmission will break? Thank you, Steve
  10. Beautiful car Dave. Congratulations. I like the Exige seats too. Do you happen to know if they have Probax padding? How do you like them? Are they comfortable? Do you think they'd be good for the track? All the best, Steve

Eventually he's going to want that beer. And it will become a death match, man vs. machine. : )
  12. I found Tom's TTS cite very interesting. I found this TTS Performance video/dyno results on Youtube (address below). The dyno run results on the video indicate a stock Duratec 2 liter with an hp of 167.67 and with a Rotrex supercharger hp of 319.49 with .9 bar boost. The test was run on a Westfield. This seems absolutely amazing to me. Could anyone tell me the downside of such huge power gains (besides cost) using a supercharger? Wouldn't this be a good way to increase power without rough idling or a sudden power band jump which can occur with headwork etc. . . ? Thank you, Steves
  13. I saw a dyno chart at the very tail end of the dozen or so photos. It's dated 3/29/14 Steve S.
  14. I don't know which font it is, (I looked but couldn't find it.) but if you have Google Chrome, you can download an app extension called What Font which might be able to identify it for you. https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/whatfont/jabopobgcpjmedljpbcaablpmlmfcogm?hl=en Regards, Steve S
  15. Thank you for your replies. It's the kind of question you don't find the answer to doing a Google search.
