  1. So I am toying with selling my seven and getting into the Porsche 911 game. Anybody with Porsche knowledge, I am looking for unbiased opinions. Should I go with an older air cooled car? Are the 99-2001 models really junk? They sure are inexpensive? Should I look more at a 2004-2005 or newer? Will I hate myself for this decision?...... All input is appreciated.
  2. I'll take the hood and roll bag depending on how much you would like for them
  3. find a merkur xr4ti in a junk yard and take one from it or check out merkur midwest or merkurdepot. These guys can get it for you.
  4. I have a t-9 from a Merkur XR4TI. It is rebuilt with about 200 miles on it. I am in the process of pulling it out of the car because I am replacing it with a t5. I put the car together last year and have driven it very little. I do not beat on the car either so the trans is wonderful. $700 Give a call if you like 419-290-1535 Robert Urfer
  5. The current owner is not in the know. Dennis told me the same about 40 cars total built. This car was number 14 or 21 I think. Hard to remember. Knowing what I paid for it, put into it and sold it for, plus seeing what the current owner has and has not done to it will make it interesting to see what it goes for. Let's just say it's rough! The seats may be worth more than the whole car. i spent quite a bit to procure those seats.
  6. I owned that Rotus for a couple years. The guy has the story a little wrong but close enough. They didn't doo much to it from the looks of it. They put the clamshells back on since I converted it to cycle fenders, they painted it, cleaned it up a bit, added a weird looking airbox onto the carbs, changed the steering wheel and shift knob, cleaned up the wiring that was hanging out from under the dash, (hopefully they rewired the car it was in rough shape electrically), maybe I will just buy it back if its cheap enough. add to my seven collection.
  7. Looks to be the Simon Cowell car.
  8. where in Ohio are you? I'm in Toledo. I would love to see the car. I think it is out of my price range but I do love it.
  9. I pm'd you about the cycle fender mounts. let me know if you got it.
  10. Not sure on the weight. I would guess under 1000lbs
  11. This is my buddy's company. It's a pretty sweet design and his workmanship is top notch. I think he is around $30,000 for one and you can customize them as needed as each one is hand built to order. http://diamondbackdivision.com/
  12. That car looks to have a fixed bench seat. The rest depends on how uncomfortable you like to be while driving.
  13. I will start off the bidding $5000
  14. Where are the seats located? I would like try mag gauge shipping cost. Thanks, Robert Toledo Ohio 43612
  15. Perfect. I will take them. Please email me your contact info and we can discuss how I can get them. Thanks, Robert Urfc@hotmail.com
  16. The seller never got back to me with a price. I would likely buy them if I had a price offered.
  17. I'd sell mine for $18,000 If you are serious you can email me directly for more info. There are some pics in the pics section. basics: built between 99-03 currently has 16in caterham wheels with good tires. caterham SV doors. Caterham front cycle fenders, caterham rear fenders not yet installed but does have the stock rear fenders which are just an inch narrower. toyota 4age 20v dyno tuned 126 horsepower. new brakes, new poly bushings. short throw shifter. Alfa romeo solid rear axle with LSD Alfa romeo front spindles. It's a great car. I'd hate to sell it but hey, everything's for sale. Speedo not working.... I have a new speedo gear which is the known problem. I also have a few other parts urfc@hotmail.com Thanks, Robert
  18. supersportsp: That would be perfect!!! Any idea what you want for them? If you want to email me directly that would be good: urfc@hotmail.com 419-290-1535 Thanks, Robert
  19. WOW!! That's a steal!!!
  20. I'm looking for a set of 15" or 16" cater ham wheels. Ideally either prisoner style or 5 spoke. let me know what you have, how much, and where you are located. Thanks, Robert
  21. Wow! That is an rare oddball piece....
  22. Just to clarify the sierra was rear wheel drive so the only sierra's that had front half shafts were those that were all wheel drive. I am guessing they used a sierra rear half shaft and cut it down to fit. The Sierra's and Merkur XR4ti's have side specific shafts. the drivers side shaft is shorter than the passenger side.
  23. Craig Chima may even have one or know where to get one. he's outside of Cleveland. His contact info should be on the forum somewhere.
  24. If you take a pic and measure it too I can tell you if it is a merkur part or not. If the diff is a 7" it should have the same hub diameter as merkur CV's its just the shaft legnth you have to worry about. merkur axles are rather inexpensive too. You can email the pic if you want: urfc@hotmail.com
