My first Ferrari was a 308GTSi like yours about 30 years ago. A project car that had the top sliced off to make a pure roadster. These things are very tiny. Hard to tell from the pics. About 200 EPA choked horsepower. That didnt stop it from drinking fuel at 12 mpg You know a lot of parts come from different manufacturers like the brakes are a Mercedes part. Lots of good 308 content and tips at Ferrarichat. -

So sorry Dick Brink said he died several years ago. His estate contacted Dick to re-sell this Mclaren. Ask is about 200K. Same thing with another estate and this JPS Birkin. No-one is getting younger. -

As a lighting designer I can tell you that LED choice can be tricky. Forget about the physical fixture look. Concentrate of what lighting is supposed to accomplish; illuminating a dark roadway at night without blinding oncoming traffic. Designing a LED fixture that can maker the road look like daylight is slam dunk easy. To do so without completely blinding oncoming traffic is a completely different story. IMO auto headlight LED lighting is in its infancy. Stick to the tried and true until The Experts have figured it out and offer complete fixture replacements.

Here is an unusual Super seven. No problem with bigger guys fitting I'd assume https://www.ebay.com/itm/2010-Lotus-Super-Seven/283302918896?_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIM.MBE%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D20131003132420%26meid%3Df3348c22911c4295b9da696e89fb60f4%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D3%26rkt%3D3%26sd%3D123600089236%26itm%3D283302918896&_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851 -

I'm in contact with the Donkervoort factory and they notify me whenever a 25+ year old car comes up. Cool cars and factory built but anemic performance compared to today's Caterhams etc. The last one they notified me about had 60,000 mile (100K kilometers) and sold in a week at 40K. Drum brakes out back. Add shipping and duties equals 50K easy and a six month wait if then. So I have to ask just how dedicated am I ? I will PM Leeper. Thanks. -
2004 WCM S2K for sale by editor of our Super Seven Manual

I'm a big fan of the 4C and think it will be collectable one day. There is a show called; How its Made that did a Supercar series and the 4c was included; hand laid one piece carbon fibre tub. I bet they lose money on every one. Reminds me of the Lancia Stratos that I should have bought 30 years ago. and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=80wM4P4dD90 -

Texas Motor works always has a Birkin or two for sale; http://www.texasmotorworks7.com/2006-Birkin-SERIES-3-DallasFt-Worth-Tx-Texas-76012/6358352 IMO Dick needs to advertise better. -
Nice car and RH drive. Whats the Marlboro rally car (?) on the lift ? That looks like a Garagemahal set up. Was thinking of getting a unit or developing a complex.

Skip I liked everything about your car except the DeDion rear suspension that is common in all Caterhams. A @300 HP Caterham expertly built for the price you were asking was a nice deal. Maybe I'm overthinking this. -
I have both motorcycle and auto racing SNELL helmets. Some are crazy $$$ I see zero difference between the two but I'm sure the helmet salesmen would differ. Anything close to modern should be fine. Hell I'm looking for an old "Star Wars" White Simpson from the 70s and 80s. I would have zero problem wearing one for a track day. "May the runoff area be with you."
-
I stand corrected.

Fuel, air, spark. IMO air is a given. You should be able to get some life by squirting fuel into the cabs then turning it over. If not the spark may be too weak to jump the gap. Any auto shop worth their salt should be able to help you.

I was this close to buying that car but kinda felt a bidding war was going to happen. Wasn't ready yet anyhow. One would think the "supertuner" that put the supercharger on would have sorted out the glitches as was led to believe in the ad. Looking at the photos first thing I would do is somehow get cool air to the air cleaner. Once the hood is on you get hot air through the radiator. East cheap HP and mpg. Looks like a nice car otherwise.

I saw this car a week or two ago. Very nice engineering went into this. Kinda tight for me at 6'1 250 lbs.

Wrap one with this. No.... the plane. https://images.fineartamerica.com/images/artworkimages/mediumlarge/1/p-40-pilot-pin-up-robert-alvarado.jpg Don't forget the rivets and bullet holes

Per their website; [h=2]ULTRALIGHT AND SUPER STRONG THANKS TO CARBON FIBRE[/h]The combination of the tubular steel frame and large carbon composite panels – also called a hybrid chassis – has resulted in a unique combination of significantly increased stiffness and ultra-light weight. The body is also made entirely of carbon fibre. Thanks to the use of this ultra-strong, ultra-light material, the total weight of the GTO-S remains below 740 kg! (740Kg=1631 lbs)
