  2. Are you going to Button Willow this weekend? I'm heading down to see Kevin's car, wouldn't mind seeing yours too! Rod
  3. WestTexasS2K, If that ride at Buttonwillow open to other people, I'd love to check your car out. I'm sure it would encourage me to finish my car! Thanks, Rod
  4. Nice work, thanks for posting your build. Lots of good ideas. Rod
  5. Yeah I still have it, drove it today:) . Its a fun little car. My Dad bought the body in 1967 and never put it together. So, I saw it hanging from the rafters of my Dad's garage, until 3 years ago. He finally (I begged for 20 yrs) gave it to me and I built it. It has the original gell coat in great condition. Rod
  6. I flat tow my Myers Manx on long road trips and its not bad at all. With my truck you hardly know its there. I have several thousand mile towing it with no problems. Even if you do need to back up, it just takes a minute to undo the tow bar. I made a removable mud flap/rock guard that bolts to my truck bumper with two bolts to prevent any rock chips. I don't think I have any chips or scratches from towing with this setup. http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p3/beergodrod/IMG_1802.jpg Rod
  7. Bob, Could you post a picture of where it mounts on the car, I've been trying to figure out how to mount one. Thanks, Rod
  8. Anybody going to this? I would love to see what a complete car is like. Rod
  9. Looks great, its nice when it finally works! Rod
  10. Does anyone have a better picture of the S1's rear suspension, mainly the rocker arm to coilover linkage? http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p3/beergodrod/superperformances1rearsuspenstion.jpg Rod
  11. Slngsht, 315/35-17 on 17x10.5 in back and 275/40-17 on 17x9 on front. It pretty close to being done, almost ready for the final tear down. I'm soooo ready. Martin, I made the grill from stainless brake line, the wheel centers came from some guy on ebay. Rod
  12. Here's my SB Ford v8 inspired Seven under construction. Construction paper hood and all! http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p3/beergodrod/RodsLocost122.jpg http://www.locostusa.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1586&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=135 Rod
  13. Wow, I thought you would get it for sure. I was talking to someone about what to do if I didn't get my #, and he said you could still get a temp operating permit untill the next year. I haven't researched it yet. Sorry to hear you didn't get your # . Rod
  14. I got my sb100 # this morning:cheers:  . I was out of the DMV by 9:10. I have to say the local DMV did a great job. I hope everybody else had the same luck. Rod
  15. You might want to cancel the appointment you're not going to, so it doesn't piss someone off and they flag you. Just curious, did they put your info in the system for your sb100, I'm doing mine on the second also, in Visalia. They took my $66 and put the application in the system to save time on the 2nd. You might ask them to do that if they haven't already. I've made three trips to the DMV to get ready for the sb100 and got different info every time. It really surprised me to have them take the application and money. Good luck! Rod
  16. Slngsht, I think you need to quarantine the BEC's, may be its the ethanol talking!!
  17. I've seen your car and may steal some ideas from it. Also driven that road from Lake Isabella in my Manx! Rod
  18. Give me six months to finish my car! http://www.locostusa.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=22289#22289 I'm looking forward to making many trips and meeting others when my car is on the road. Rod
  19. Thanks for the pictures, wish I could have gone. Rod
  20. Thanks Bob, That's what I wanted to know. Rod
  21. Maybe you could just describe what type of joint it is. Just trying to figure how they are allowing movement, so it isn't binding the a-arms movement. I like the way the Caterham sway bar looks, and want to copy the design.... will the instruction help? Rod
  22. Does anyone have a picture or drawing on how Caterham attaches the sway bar on the upper a arm? I have been trying to a good picture of this, but they always have a rubber boot over the connection. Thanks, Rod
