  1. I had my nose cone and rear fenders done with chip protection on the front of the fenders and underneath the fenders for $500. That was about 9 months ago. http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p3/beergodrod/RodsLocost50005-1.jpg Rod
  2. I can leave the ramps at home now. Nice! Thanks Rod
  3. I have just over 4100 miles since January, but the hot weather is here now. It was 105F yesterday, so I probably won't be driving as much untill I get a roof figured out. Still, my goal is to put 10k on it this year. Rod
  4. A couple of weeks ago I met about 10 Chinese college administrators who were here at the local college. My car was parked on Main St., they asked if the could sit in it. One at a time they sat in the car with tons of flashes going off. Smiling making peace signs. Business suits with cameras around their necks. If I only had my camera! Would have made a great avatar. Hopefully one of them will post it on the internet so I can get a copy. It was awsome. Rod
  5. Did you try them out today? Rod
  6. I think Mazda has about 200 MORE HP! I'm a bit lighter though, not 200 HP lighter. Maybe if I stroked a 351, hmmmm......... Rod

  9. Signed and sent my motorcycle buddies to it. Rod
  10. My wife was working and it was our first sunny day in a couple of weeks. Hardly any traffic, which is very rare. This is the drive I had in mind when I decided to build one. Only no oncoming traffic or speed limit :yesnod: I'm new to editing so bear with me. FIXED Rod
  11. They are much better for a seven than a wink mirror. They are shorter and blend in to the windshield frame, doesn't block your forward vision as much as a wink. Worth it if that iis important to you. I have one on my windshield and love it. I don't like adjusting it though. Rod
  12. Thanks Mondo, Rod
  13. Thanks for the replies, but I've already been through all of that, I was asking about the BAR appointment only. Rod
  14. I need to make my appointment, what am I in for? How long did it take? Rod
  15. This is my best piece of gear, I have driven for hours in the mid 30's with this hat. And that is with Brooklands. http://www.snowshack.com/detail/SNW+SI-03467+A_Seirus+Innovation+QC+Fleece+Knit+Black%2FCharcoal I also use mountain bike wind stopper gloves. Rod
  16. http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p3/beergodrod/Photo0055.jpg A couple of weeks ago, trying to get above the fog, headed for Springville. First drive in the foothills. Rod
  17. I could do a day or two, maybe meet up at lake Isabella? A coast trip sounds good too. Rod
  18. Very nice! It's a good feeling to get the registration done! Rod
  19. Sounds good Mondo, can't wait to test it out a little faster in the foothills! It would be cool to have a side by side picture of the two cars. Rod
  20. http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p3/beergodrod/RodsLocost5.jpg http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p3/beergodrod/RodsLocost50012-7.jpg Took my Locost for its first drive today. Here are some videos on YouTube. Its actually the second drive because the camera was off the first time! In the third YouTube link toward the end of the video I gave it a little gas, listen to the girl passenger yell at me! We were going 35mph max. I haven't figured out how to embed the video yet so here are the links. Started the project almost exactly 2 years ago. The car is a +442, roller cam 302, T5, late model mustang axle, 3-link w/mummford link, inboard coil-overs up front. I put a carb on it utill its done with registration, then it will get 8 stack fuel injection with megasquirt. Rod
  21. Thanks for the videos, very motivational. How is it driving with no front fenders? Rod
  22. Hope your feeling better Jim. Good to hear you're walking around! Rod
  23. Good one! Nice avatar Mondo:thumbs: Rod
  24. Hushpower II's are insulatated too, the outside shell stays relatively cool. Nice when its right next to your thigh. I used them on my buggy and my locost. Not very light though and I hear only good to 400hp. http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p3/beergodrod/RodsLocost073-1.jpg Rod
