  3. I'm looking at the toyo tires for use on my car. R888's have been bumped out of my head for fear of driving in the rain (and I don't think i really need slicks for the first tires on my first sports car). Has anyone had any experience with the other toyo performance tires (T1R, RA1) in the rain? Are RA1's rain worthy at all? Oh, the toyos thing is because I have a connection at toyo and might be able to get a good deal on them. Other tire recommendations are welcome. tire size is about 225/50/14s...14inch rims/7inch width. in fear of getting caught in the rain on long trips, andrew
  4. sounds like you might be in the market for some grey paint...
  5. Oh yeah, I followed the 'not released yet,' but was kinda testing them to see if they wanted to add me to the list of free boom-cans ;] I might take up your offer on your 2.5" HP2, as it is proving very difficult to find a collector that goes to 2":cuss: :cuss: :cuss: Check your pms. hehe pms. dang i really need to end this 'break from working on the car day'.
  6. Just gave hushpower a call, and Dan (extension 451) didnt recall them making a 2.5" hushpower pro, but sold me on the hushpower II. If you want someone to talk exhaust to (kinda a gearhead pay chat?) give them a call. Seemed to be very knowledgeable! He recommended the 2" HP II's for my ~110 hp 2.4L toyota engine. I like torque, so that or the 2.25" sound pretty good to me.
  7. Just make sure to cover up the fluid trail
  8. My first time flagging at Barber I recall small birds that would sit on the front straight in the driving line and wait for a car to come. They would then fly up and hit the pressure wave of the car to launch themselves skyward, only to do it again. Looked like fun until a black front running 'vette came (and anything that hits a wedge at that speed is gonna go far!). There were also calls on the radio about a corner worker chasing an armadillo off with a broom in between sessions
  9. Very luckily Jack (the locost) was alright despite not having a rollbar. Horrible shame about the elise. My condolences to the family... Stay safe guys and gals...
  10. hmm now I know. wikipedia has also schooled me: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_A_engine And now I want one...it would compliment my 22RE nicely I think...
  11. very amusing ...I'll just a little scared once big brother can access this stuff!

I highly recommend making the trip out to see it! By the way John, was it you running the radical around lunchtime Saturday?
  19. We also all got to check out the Barber Motorsport Museum including the restoration area/extended tours thanks to John. Ill post pics of that later. Getting to see the sevens run was awesome! No one had any major problems (besides the scorching heat!). I flagged/trained friday and saturday and worked grid/scoring today. NASA has a great program running and I am excited to get into it finally. Plus, they have a work two weekends, get one free deal! time to go finally get some air-conditioned sleep , pics to come later.
  20. http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/speed_racer/news/1726473/1.php Just bought Cannonball, the cannonball run 1&2, and gumball run. I need to pick up the mad max's, bullit, and christine next. Overall, not a bad list. Some were controversial, but were memorable. We need to do something to get a seven put into a movie- any ideas?
  21. any interesting stops planned? hmm...where are the keys to the rotus?? :leaving:
  22. great vid.... I think the rotary buzz makes a good stand alone soundtrack ;]
  23. haha good point...hmm I guess just bring portable stereos? Atlanta area sevens: rob/rotus (solder_guy), athens7, 7evin, martin (...I probably wont have a 7 there either!), myself, 3 or 4 locost-in-progressers, paul whittle/stalker, and i feel like im forgetting some...
  24. Done, done, and done.
  25. 7evin had a great idea...to do a 7s meetup at the Atlanta drive-in sometime in June. http://www.starlightdrivein.com/ If my car is done or not, im up for it!
