  1. All my gauges run through a touchscreen :yesnod: I can log data for about 90 minutes AFTER the fact (so if something unusual happens, I click save, and I have all data saved from the start of that run). Through the same display I can check codes, read/write PCM calibration.
  2. I saw the same segment, and was wondering the same thing. That guy wasn't some young punk, so I'm sure he had lawyered up before doing an interview
  3.
  4. I've used iGuidance iNav with my laptop, and have generally had very good luck with its directions.
  5. Have you guys heard about that new pirate movie coming out? It's rated "Arrrrrrr!"
  6. Isn't that Maguns' product?
  7. This looks promising... Due for release this December http://www.racepak.com/IQ3Dash/ It's by RacePack, the MSD people... It has built in GPS and 3 axis accelerometer as well. $1395 for the unit. If you don't use their existing data acquisition stuff, you can buy sensor packs from them. No price on that yet. It also says "EFI Version" is coming soon. If that interfaces with OBDii, I'll jump with joy. http://www.racepak.com/IQ3Dash/images/iq3_package.jpg
  8. Most tracks won't have a straight that's long enough for a 200+ run... he needs an airport runway, super speedway, or GM proving grounds
  9. *******THIS POST IS ABOUT A NEWS STORY REGARDING A CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION. IT'S NOT A STREET RACING POST ************ 1st and foremost, this dude is likely to get NAILED by the state of Arizon because of this video YouTube Video the 2nd thing, is the flyby shots are kinda cool. I'm glad I didn't have a fast car when I was young.
  10. I feel the same way. It'd be very nice for a dedicated track piece. I really like that it provides the full width of the front for a functional wing, and that it looks like the hood and nose cone are integrated. I'm always a little worried about my hood taking flight, as has happened to a few folks.
  11.
  12. This looks like a fun track. If this guy's start was clean, he'd make a decent drag racer Also, the very last car he is trying to catch looks LOW... any idea what it is?
  13. It's tough to get that look with a seven due to the bulk of the engine in the front. The nose will have to be pretty long. Here's another concept. Saw this posted by DIYMAN at the CCC. Not sure if it's his design, or just pics of another car: http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/899256773_DSC_739421.jpg
  14. not the same company as TVR.
  15. from trvmotorsport.com http://www.trvmotorsport.com/images/trv2cars.jpg Have any of you seen this car - or talked about it on this forum? They don't consider themselves a seven... just a track car. 1800 lbs. Chevy drivetrain. The back could use some work :ack: http://www.trvmotorsport.com/images/newcar7.jpg but I actually don't mind the front too much (if it results in any downforce)
  16. Corvette cam will turn into Rotus live update cam next time I go to WV. There will be lots of pics.
  17. There is enough metal there to build an army of sevens
  18. heh, hopefully there was no damage to his car.
  19. heh, you guy are all keeping track of my garage now. Rotus is in the WV mountains... getting ready to undergo some major changes (this is what I say every winter ... and I actually follow through, sometimes more smoothly than others... ) This time around my nephew is doing most of the work.
  20. post reply here. I've actually used the camera for something useful already. I was discussing a frame modification on the Rotus with my nephew over IM earlier, and just put the camera in front of the whiteboard. It helped alot to draw it out.

  22. well, here it is... linky I don't know what'll happen if a bunch of people try to connect. It probably has a limit. So if you connect and look, please close the browser when you're done. login: guest password: rotus right now it's just sitting in my garage, so no Rotus to look at. It is pitch dark in there, so whatever you see is from the camera's infrared LEDs. There is also sound, although nothing is going on in the garage...
  23. I just bought a TomTom One 3rd Edition for the wifey. Nothing fancy. It was $100 off at Target. Bought it for $149. They have gone as low as $129.
  24. YouTube Video There is no substitude for downforce :nonod: Moving this to OT
