  1. Brick wall won't care how much downforce you had before you hit it let me find the vid... i'll post it up
  2. at .5 degrees camber, that doesn't make any sense
  3. a picture would do wonders.
  4. heh, unbelievable. Couple of points here... First off, have any of the "clone" creators actually sold a unit? Ariel (or the US company) MIGHT have a point IF the "clone" was a commercial venture. 2nd, Somebody making an Atom lookalike (i.e. a mid engined car with a curved exoskeleton ) is no worse than any Hyundai design that copies Honda. As for banning them from their forum, they do have a right to do that - freedom of speech does not apply to privately run forums. So legally, there is no issue there, eventhough it's petty.
  5. sweet. Us eastern guys aren't used to being able to see that much road ahead of us.

  7. Jean just sent me a question regarding the watches. He wants to know what to declare for value of the watches for customs. I have no experience in this area, send me a PM
  8. This is pretty amazing... on most forums political threads turn into stupid one liners and insults. I've enjoyed everyone's contribution to the topic here
  9. Perfect. That's what I needed.
  10. roughly, how much does a typical se7en frame weigh? Say a Caterham or Birking... something middle of the road. Bare frame, no suspension, drivetrain, etc... :bigears:
  11. Fantastic commercial. I'm gonna lock this thread up... Discussed here: http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/Default.aspx?g=posts&t=655
  12. I don't have a Stalker, but my motor is similarly torque happy, and I had 4.11 on there. I switched it to 3.42. Before I switched though, I was at an Autox school, and one of the instructors drove my car, with me riding shutgun. He drove several runs, and in one of them, he accidentally started in 3rd, and shifted to 4th, rather than 1st/2nd. After the run he said "didn't the car sound different that time?". I said yeah, that's b/c you ran in 3rd and 4th. He couldn't even tell the difference  With 4.11 1st gear was pretty useless, although it was nice to climb a steep hill by just letting out the clutch.
  13. I think *because* DC is not a state and is under federal control, the feds can dictate what happens there. Regarding DC, it is unfortunate that for decades the residents have had taxation without proper representation. Is there anything that's a better indicator of how bad politics are in congress? :nonod:
  14. Corrected the bold part :jester:
  15. Yes, I've been following that. My rant was more about the federal government - specifically congress has no say in this issue, unless they want to take up n amendment to the constitution.

  17. wow, that thing is a handful. I don't know if it needs more downforce or what
  18. heh, missed the last 2... 4 out of 6
  19. Just for the tranny that is... It would be a direct bolt in for my Rotus tranny Sequential tranny behind a real motor
  20. Voodoo, welcome aboard. There are several dedicated Busa owners around. Enjoy.

it's plain to see he out accelerates the other cars. That's just having more under the go pedal. He also out brakes everybody. That has to be a combination of car and driver.
  22. It was really tempting to buy a pan and tilt camera. Panasonic has a decent one. Ultimately I bought this one, because of 2 important features: It can work in low light conditions (car is in a basement garage), and allows 2 way conversation.
  23. Victor, what kind of feedback are you looking for? for a track car, weekend car, etc... Stalkers have performed VERY well at the track. Have a look at the results of the run 'n' gun for a sample. They're also fairly roomy, and with a chevy drivetrain, cheap and reliable.
  24. The GNX... that was an awesome car in the 80's... Looking back though, that engine only made about 270 hp and 360 ft.lbs. of torque (well "only" by today's standards, back then, it was :willy: ), and with the turbo and related plumbing, is actually heavier than a LS1. Although, they can make crazy power if you gotz the $
  25. Normally, when Frankn7 is parked due to the weather, at least I can go in the garage and fiddle with it. But now that she's hibernating in WV, awaiting offseason surgery, I can't even do that. So, to ease the pain, I bought this. http://www.provantage.com/fullsize/TDWR021.jpg Once I manage to get it to WV and installed, I can see her anytime I want, and whenever Arya is out there working on it without me, he can show me stuff, and we can have a two way conversation. :yesnod:
