  4. Yes, the Deman guys had it on their car at the Dragon. Super bright. I've been running PIAA 4000 Quattro lights. Not HID, but pretty bright http://www.everythingsuv.com/images/piaa/p-4000.gif Your low beams look very bright, and seems like they have a nice cutoff

  7. A man and his wife were spending the day at the zoo. She was wearing a loose fitting, pink dress, sleeveless with straps. He was wearing his usual jeans and T-shirt. As they walked through the ape exhibit, they passed in front of a large, silverback gorilla. Noticing the wife, the gorilla went crazy. He jumped on the bars, and holding on with one hand and 2 feet he grunted and pounded his chest with his free hand. He was obviously excited at the pretty lady in the pink Dress. The husband, noticing the excitement, thought this was funny. He suggested that his wife tease the poor fellow some more by puckering her lips and wiggling her bottom. She played along and the gorilla got even more excited, making noises that would wake the dead. Then the husband suggested that she let one of her straps fall to show a little more skin. She did... And the gorilla was about to tear the bars down. "Now... Show your thighs and sort of fan your dress at him," he said. This drove the gorilla absolutely crazy, and he started doing flips. Then the husband grabbed his wife, ripped open the door to the cage, flung her in with the gorilla, slammed the cage door shut, and said... . . . . . . "Now; tell HIM you have a headache."
  8. Thanks for pointing that out. I would have caught it at shipment time, but better now than later. Fortunately, I ordered 2 extra mens, and 1 extra woman's watch, so you're covered.
  9. I understand your point, and I agree that the federal government should not be run after a business model in the greed sense, but it certainly use some more sense of urgency in doing its tasks. But more importantly, I think the federal government should not at all be involved in some of the projects it has taken on over the years. If they're not in it, it is harder for them to screw it up
  10. I see he doesn't need a pillow :leaving:
  11. Going to google right now
  12. Who was that? I haven't listened to news much lately. I heard Leno crack a joke about one of the candidates saying that. It wasn't Dennis Kusinich, was it?
  13. I rag on government, because I live here in DC and the waste is all around me. I did gov consulting for 2 years and hated seeing all the bogus projects going to waste. Just walk into your typical fed gov building and you will see what I mean. IMO the root of the problem is that the way things work in congress is that if you want something done, you have to buy votes by throwing in everybody's pet projects. Line item veto would have been a great idea if it had come to be. Significant reduction in federal government functions will mean reduction in federal taxes and fewer federally funded pet projects. This does not automatically mean our overall taxes will be lower. States will probably raise taxes due to fewer handouts from the fed (states like Vermont will probably raise their tax rate to 90% ). In my opinion this is a good thing. Why? More local control. People will get much more involved in these issues when more of the burden of a pet project is tied to the immediate tax base. You want to build a 200 million dollar highway in the middle of nowhere, go right ahead and run on that platform in your local district where each individual will have ownership of the project's costs. Going back to the beginning, the federal government was established with specific purposes In particular, congress was established with specific goals defined in Article 1, section 8. If you read these, and then look at projects funded by the fed, ALOT have nothing to do with the authority of congress:

  16. Hey scott. Glad you made it out OK. That tire wall was getting pretty close. Good thing the sand was there. Not to laugh at the situation, but I love your reaction to try to catch the hood. I did the same exact thing when my hood almost flew off at the dragon.
  17. I see the USA7s = English has really made an impression on you... Now repeat this: Big V8 is better than bike engine :jester:
  18. I read up on him recently. Not quite sure what to make of it. I REALLY like the reduction in scope of federal gov. It's corruption that's out of control. He's not one of the ones who has seen a UFO lately, is he?
  19. The Spanish part was a joke. The English part... well... not too much to ask :leaving:

  21. Seth, do these weights include exhaust manifold?
  22. Also, look up Radial Tire. They are a local shop in the DC area, and support alot of the SCCA guys. Very knowledgable.
  23. Well, compared to my V8, it is light. I didn't weigh my combo, but it's pretty well documented... Dressed complete LS1 engine, including all accessories and exhaust manifolds = 430. I believe this may include AC compressor, which I don't have. T56 Transmission = 140 lbs... This is a HEAVY unit. A built T5 is about 50 lbs lighter. I believe a TKO500 is 30 lbs lighter. So, my combo weighs in at 570 lbs.
