  1. It would be nice to have them for corner weighing. An alternative would be to query the seven community to locate existing available scales, and see if we can secure their use for our members. I'm worried that the cost of shipping would exceed the investment in the equipment pretty quickly.
  2. Right click on the photo, choose Save As. I don't have any background info on it. I saw it on another forum and thought it was funny, so I saved it.
  3. I pulled mine with an Odyssey. My car is heavy, and so is my trailer. It's a 16' dual axle steel job - a regular car hauler. I know that combo is a little too much for the Ody, but a light weight 7 on an aluminum trailer will be just fine. Make sure you post up in the Sept. blat thread.

  8. Alright fellows, Here are the current plans: Meeting point: Harrisonburg, VA Destination: Snowshoe, WV When: Departing Sept 15, Returning Sept 16 In case of rain: Departing Sept 22, Returning Sept 23 This blat will feature about 3 hours of switchback moutain roads. Speed limit on these roads is generally 55, with VERY little traffic. Snowshoe resort has resturaunts and other "resort stuff", including golf, if you're into it. If you want to go on the cheap, I can find a place for you to crash at my brother's place. You have to be a club member to attend - If you went to 7/7/7, you are already a member. Otherwise contact me. I'm looking for 5 or 6 other cars to make this a go. BTW, my car will only make the trip to WV. I will need a ride back. She is staying there for some serious modding. This thread will be moved to the Mid-Atlantic region in a couple of days. 10. speaking of feeling nostalgic... I was looking back last night at this thread (whose car is that on the left?): http://www.usa7s.com/forum/uploads/slngsht/2006-06-05_094141_blue_ridge_7_Small.JPG http://www.usa7s.com/forum/uploads/slngsht/2006-06-05_094309_blue_ridge_2_Small.JPG and this vid (John and I recon for skyline): http://www.usa7s.com/forum/uploads/slngsht/Movie.wmv
  11. can you send me a link of the best implementation on a locost for a 3 link? or at least one that clearly explains / shows what's involved? I appreciate it
  12. Arya and I just had a 2 hour planning session on the next round of modifications on the car, which will start this September, after the blat to Snowshoe. Our current thoughts will involve some major modification of the chassis to incorporate a roll cage, modify the center tunnel for more axle clearance, and as a part of all of that, completely change the dash location and design (it will look something like the curvy CSR dash). The new design will connect the top tunnel tubes to the lower portion of the front hoop of the roll cage, which should be a stiffer design - that's impossible to know without modeling or testing; and I'm too lazy to do either On the plus side, the steering, pedals, and dash will all move back, making for a roomier cabin
  13.
  14. Courtasy of Jonny Lieberman. I never thought about it, but "The Rotus is always horrifying" captures the essence of what I wanted the car to become. I think it's a compliment
  15. as the Mid-Atlantic coordinator y'all ready for some blats?
  16. VA is moving to the new Mid-Atlantic section.
  17. All, I have created a new section for the Mid-Atlantic. PA, DE, MD, WV, DC have been moved there.
  18. Al, pick MichaelD and Norm Beaver's brains as well... They are not "forum types", so they don't check in on a regular basis, but they have alot of experience specifically on Caterhams and autox wheel/tire combos.
  19. Rotus has a very similar design. BTW, where do you route your fuel lines? Mine are in the center tunnel right now... let's see, electrical source, check. fuel source, check. source for shrapnel, check... I have an IED in there
  20. If you are going to get a dedicated set, why not slicks? MichaelD says it's like a drug... once you try it, you'll never go back.
  21. Martin, is this what you're talking about? http://lh3.google.com/MHKflyer52/RnQCTdUh3fI/AAAAAAAAAF4/57s6x4rx6pU/DSCN0573.JPG?imgmax=800
  22. Less likely, yes, but it is still possible. I'm thinking that even with driveshaft hoops, it maybe a good idea to have a scatter blanket over the center tunnel.
  23. Here's a short vid of one of my mishaps. I believe this was Saturday morning. I had just finished giving somebody a jump. To do that, I had unlatched my right side, given the jump and relatched. I guess the left side had come loose. http://www.usa7s.com/forum/uploads/slngsht/hoodfly.wmv
