  3. Thanks for the link! Looks like Jeff's Ultralite was the most photographed car there. helps to be in front of the camera car.
  4. nobody has expressed interest so far... Steve?
  5. This is what happens if you add too much lightness
  6. do tell :bigears: something besides Odyssey?
  7. Jeff, I have seen that vette in person - last year, at the end of the Skyline cruise, Scott Lentz and I dropped by to watch the ferraris run the main circuit. The vette was running at the Jefferson circuit (I think - the one with all the concrete barriers). Bad azz car (I have a soft spot for vettes). That was a great vid. My only on-track experience is at Summit Point many moons ago - on 100cc Yamaha karts. I did 2 40 minute sessions. From what I remember, I only had to hit brakes going into turn 1, and turn 5. The rest was flat out. I'm not too sure about the lap times. I think I ran 1:39s there. Does that sound right? I think the faster ferraris were running 1:31s. Not sure. Thanks for posting these
  8. I will try to remember both the shop vac, and the portable air compressor / battery charger / jumper
  9. Steve, that sucks
  10. Dude, I COMPLETELY forgot you were up this way :banghead:
  11. hah... It took me 2 trips, but I walked out with historic tags :yesnod:

  13. My bad: http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/287293140_CIMG1631%20(Small).JPG Left to right: Scott Lentz, Jeff Duncan, Russ Strough
  14. Skip, when is LOG27? If you can get a definitive answer that all LSIS are welcome, please start a thread on it here. Eventually I'll move your thread (and mine) to the right regional section.
  15. awesome! Jeff will be a busy guy at the Draon on Sunday
  16. Harold, I asked the event organizer to send us a link. I'll post it up if I get it.
  17. That side port is seems like a great idea for extracting heat from the car. Nice.
  18. man, that was a LONG day. I think about 150 miles total. The route would have been alright for 3 cars, but we were 3 sevens with 70 porsches. Imagine 73 cars pulling up to stop signs and trying to make left turns :ack: On the plus side, got to meet another two members... Jeff and Harold  Jeff drives a beautiful blue WCM car. Harold showed up in a shiney Elise... As things worked out, we didn't get a chance to give Harold a ride in our sevens . Hopefully next time. Russ and Scott rounded out the seven related folks, although Scott brought his black 944 Turbo  I took a few pics... http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/313165364_CIMG1615 (Small).JPG http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/32939879_CIMG1616 (Small).JPG http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/314697769_CIMG1628 (Small).JPG http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/287293140_CIMG1631 (Small).JPG
  19. glad to see you're on the road
  20. That's a great plate
  21. you're getting some nice deflection on your right front tire in that last shot
  22. Gert, believe me, I would love to do that
  23. Once the dust settles from 7/7/7, I'm thinking of organizing another little blat. This one will be mostly a driving event, through mountain roads. Think of it as a BIG dragon.... lots of moutain switch backs and hairpin turns with speed limits at 55 and no crowds. I'm just brainstorming here... I'm not sure how Gail will take another one of these trips :boxing: Anyway, the plan would be to meet in Harrisonburg, VA on a saturday morning, and head west into the moutains of WV, ending up at Snowshoe. Sleep there, and return on Sunday. Even the most direct route is 92 miles of twisties. There are many moutain roads to choose from... here is one possible path . Snowshoe has nice amenities (Nice shops and resturaunts, even a starbucks with wireless internet). I have done this trip several times in the van  , and one time in the vette :smash: I think it will make a very enjoyable blat with sevens, where you get to use power, agility, and brakes. Let's see a show of hands.
  24. Here are some pics... In the first one, you see the only damaged part of the trailer... the side rail on the left of the pic was bent due to too much load - the support leg used to on that side. As you see on the right, it is now braced. I think I will just leave that alone... trailer looks perfectly straight (I followed it for 30 miles). http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1637369053_CIMG1611 (Small).JPG http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1153286791_CIMG1612 (Small).JPG http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1732309953_CIMG1613 (Small).JPG
