  1. unless it's busaloco, then i'll have to throw out my passenger to catch up http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/rofl.gif
  2. we should definitely meet up this spring. Will your car be registered by then? last year we did skyline, but it was way too slow, and we got in a little trouble http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/biggrin5.gif My brother has a cabin near snowshoe, and there are some kickazz roads between Harrisonburg and snowshoe on 33, 28 etc... That'd be a fun trip in a Seven.
  3. first gear useless = good sign http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/smile5.gif running out of gas - a number of us were wondering what % of seven owners have done that. I know it happened to me.

  5. Mazda, We need to get you to a track event... There are several at VIR this spring that you could do. I will likely be at most of them. Then you could realize the "full potential" of the Rotus. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/biggrin5.gif Oh man, I missed this post. I seriously do need to get to a track event. I'm hoping to get a real roll bar on the car in the next couple of months. It would be nice to actually go full throttle for more than a second at a time http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/lol.gif I did a little experiementing to verify, and sure enough, I have an open diff - so a torsen will be going in. I've resisted the track urge because at the moment if I wreck it, I can't replace it. We seriously do need to give each other rides though.
  6. LocostV8 set me up with a nice deal on a 9" with disc brakes http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/yesnod.gif
  7. skip, thanks... Both of those conditions (lifting a rear wheel, or ice/snow) will be very unlikely in the seven. I'm looking for one for a 9" ford rear. Quaife = 1300, TrueTrac= 500. Big difference.
  8. I've always thought that for our apps, a torque sensing diff is the way to go... I see 2 players in the market: Quaife, and TrueTrac. I haven't done an exhaustive price search, but it seems like Quaife is substantially more expensive. Is it an improvement over the TrueTrac design? Any reason not to go with a torque sensing diff?
  9. Spotcheck, Solder Guy is near you... send him a private message. I am sure he'll chime in here soon. Welcome aboard.
  10. Well, this cold weather sucks, but I still went out for a ride today http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/thumbsup.gif I finally found a quiet spot, and laid some rubber. Guess what... it's just an open diff! I was told it might be a TruTrac diff, but I have one long nice tire mark to prove it. LSD or Quaife should help with the 0-60 times. Question is... which would you go with?
  11. I'd like to see it as well...
  12. sorry... I meant quad splitter... you hook up to 4 cameras to it, it produces one composite image of all 4, so you can point one to your feet, one to your instruments, one ahead, and one behind, etc...
  13. Busa is on a roll now http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/lol.gif I'll save the lighthearted keyboard racing for a thread in the general section.
  14. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/coolgleamA.gif that's on my list, along with a squad splitter. I also have a ford 9", bigger wheels and tires, new body panels. Looks like I have to take a birthday mortgate http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/lol.gif
  15. when i bought my camaro engine, the guy gave me his mulet http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/biggrin5.gif. Actually, I've never had the rotus to the strip (it will need a 6 point roll bar), and my vette only once, but I do autox both cars fairly regularly. The disadvantage I have in autox is obviously the extra drivetrain weight I carry without being able to use any of it. I'd love to run with you guys in some highspeed twisties though. And look - a little razzing, and the post count in BEC section has gone from 6 to 19 http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/smile5.gif
  16. One positive thing I have noticed about BEC owners... you guys do seem to produce alot more videos of your rides. Definitely helps me cope with the winter blues.
  17. I'll take 4 spark plugs out to make the car lighter. Then you'll be in trouble buster http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/rofl.gif

    OMG ROFL

    >Look at this... After you click on it, then look at his feedback history, and check out the last item he purchased. Thank god he's not selling a vette. I'd never live that down http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/rofl.gif
  19. Andrew7 did a very nice summary explaining it. I don't have a BEC - one might say the opposite: TPB- Truck Powered Bike http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/lol.gif I did spend decent seat time in a Formula SAE car with a turbo 600cc, weighing way below 1000lbs, and I will NEVER forget the way that car felt. Just WOW. I wouldn't mind having a BEC at all... even just for the sequential box and sound.
  20. The problem is us REAL V8 guys aren't harrassin' ya. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/rofl.gif Last week I worked 17 hrs, 16hrs, 14 hrs, and then 30 hrs straight until earlier today. Coupled with freezing weather, it's totally gotten me out of the sevenin' mood. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/cryin.gif I gotta get some traction in my beast and put down a 2.x 60 time, maybe a high 9's quarter... i'll be comin' a trash talkin' Discuss :lurk: http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/biggrinjester.gif
  21. give the guys at razor performance a call. A while back I was toying with the idea of going dry sump, and they seemed pretty knowledgeable on this specific topic.
  22. No, not me http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/smile5.gif Busa powered seven. I can't tell if it was measured while the tape was rolling, because there wasn't much hint of tires struggling. Does this belong to someone here? Cool collection of cars at the start too http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/thumbsup.gif
  23. items 1 and 3 look like the parts. Thanks http://www.mossmotors.com/Graphics/Products/Schematics/JXK-029.gif >Found Here
  24. Was there another sticker under it? WARNING, DO NOT PEEL THESE STICKERS
