  1. Damn on the screws
  2. LS motors tolerate heat amazingly well.
  3. well, that makes more sense. LOL
  4. Is that a supercharged Mustang? Pretty amazing it kept up with you on a road course.
  5. Seven as your ONLY car in PA is not practical IMO. I drove my seven whenever the weather was not too crazy (rain, snow, extreme hot or cold), and typically put 6K miles a year on it. Definitely try to make the event on June 27/28 mentioned above. That's a great starting point. And there are many sevens in the NY-> DC region.
  6. The day I learn, I'll buy a camry. LOL
  7. Man, I bet that was fun.
  8. Well, I put about 6K miles a year on the Rotus with the exception of one year when she was under the knife. I enjoyed every neck snapping mile. Going the opposite direction now - from probably the heaviest seven here to hopefully the lightest one. I'll report back on how it feels in comparison
  9. In essence, that's the issue. We want: 1. higher wages and better working conditions (both translate to higher operating costs) than workers in India, Mexico, China, etc... 2. Compete with those countries in the global marketplace so our economy does not collapse. Any barriers we put up that helps with #1, hurts #2. This is completely obvious. By barriers I mean government regulations (good or bad - like worker rights, EPA regulations, unions...). We all want those barriers to some extent. Some more, some less. I doubt anyone here would want to work in the same conditions as the Chinese. There are only two ways I can see to meet both #1 and #2: Innovate - so you're not just trying to beat your competition at producing the same widgets. And, Play hard ball in global economics -the way Japan has stuck it to us in the past.

    Lebron

For one night, fans of the Peoria Chiefs can have their own replica of LeBron James' first championship ring. Call it the cheapest promotion in sports history because, like James' ring, the handout doesn't exist. The Chiefs, a Class A affiliate of the Chicago Cubs in the Midwest League, will hold a "LeBron James NBA Championship Replica Giveaway night" Thursday, poking fun at the Miami Heat star's loss in the NBA Finals to the Dallas Mavericks. James "Replica rings" -- also known as air -- will be handed out by stadium workers as fans enter the park, according to Chiefs spokesman Nathan Baliva. Throughout the game, Peoria will honor "a true champion" -- the Chicago Bulls' six NBA titles -- with video clips and audio highlights, and the Chiefs will take the field to "Sirius," the Alan Parsons Project song used by the Bulls during their player introductions. The Chiefs said they are "looking into" whether they can skip the fourth inning -- another poke at James, who scored just 18 points during the fourth quarter in six NBA Finals games. "We aren't sure if the league will allow it," Peoria president Rocky Vonachen said in a statement. "But if LeBron doesn't need to show up for the fourth, maybe we won't, either." Among the other James promotional digs planned: A fan will win a "replica" of James' Finals MVP award (which actually went to the Mavericks' Dirk Nowitzki), and Heimlich maneuver classes will be offered to help prevent people from "choking in a big situation." "Really, this is just us getting back to the real world and waking up today and trying to solve our own personal problems," vice president of ticket sales Eric Obalil said. Baliva said a Bulls tribute for Thursday had been in the works since November, in hopes that Chicago would be coming off another NBA championship. The James addition to the promotion was announced midday Tuesday, and Baliva said there was an immediate reaction. "We were seeing stuff not just from Chicago and Cleveland, but all over the country," Baliva said.
  12. Congress will side with Boeing - for all the wrong reasons... Every state wants a piece of that action, so they'll do whatever to get some jobs, a contract, whatever to their districts. I'll be shocked if Boeing does not prevail.

    Lebron

When asked what he was considering as his next move, Lebron said he was considering changing sports. When questioned further, Lebron said he was moving to hockey because they only play 3 periods... How do you know you've found Lebron James' cell phone? It vibrates and receives calls, but doesn't have a ring! Don't ask Lebron for change for a dollar. He only give you 3 quarters. I heard today that the reason he skipped college was because he doesn't like to show up for finals. I'm here all day folks

  19. I think I used .049" 5052 on the Rotus... might go a little thinner this time.
  20. Does anyone know what's used for floor on Caterhams? What about side skins?
  21. K, it does not have to be EVERY recipient... how about random drug testing? And IMO this money will not be put to better use by government paying the unemployed to work for the government - That will become another government program that will need to be funded endlessly. You can put me in the category of people who have a fundamental problem with welfare benefits going to anything beyond the very essentials of living - basic foods, medicine, etc... The easier you make it to live on welfare, the more you encourage it. Agreed on "we the voters" part... cracks me up when people complain about "Washington" - like the representatives magically just show up here.
  22. Did you run the quarter mile?
  23. are you gonna tell us? edit... now I see... 1145. Nothing gets by me. CBR1000 powered?
