  5. Hi Neil, Scroll down half way down this page. These photos are from when I brought her home: http://www.usa7s.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=26&PN=2&TPN=2 and this link has a short vid of the car running through my neighborhood... http://www.usa7s.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=56&PN=2 Cheers
  6. Doubt it for now. I don't plan to do any competitive road racing in mine. At most some test and tune sessions. For most part, I'll be autocrossing.
  7. Thanks Joe. I'm moving this to the Tech section so it'll be easier to find... Here are the pics from Yahoo groups: http://www.usa7s.com/forum/uploads/slngsht/RotusBrakeUpgrade1.jpg http://www.usa7s.com/forum/uploads/slngsht/RotusBrakeUpgrade2.jpg http://www.usa7s.com/forum/uploads/slngsht/RotusBrakeUpgrade3.jpgslngsht38712.8409606482
  8. Roll cage is a good thing >http://www.barc.net/marshalstraining2.htm
  9. Jeff Bynum now owns Frank's old Rotus - he's a member here.
  10. Do you happen to have any pics?
  11. Hi all, Merry Christmas!!! Today was just warm enough to take the Rotus out for a spin. It had been a month since I drove her last. Felt good. Hope you all have a great holiday. Looking forward to spring. Cheers.
  12. good read! thanks. Where did you find this?
  13. the first line says 1970... You mean 1980, right?
  14. Rob, the wiring should already be there. All you have to do is extend it from its current location to where you want it, and at most, put a dual element bulb in it. Jeff, were you able to resolve your problem?
  15. mine has 2 low hanging exhaust mount bolts that tend to rub, especially if i have a passenger. I have found these cars have great angle of approach clearance (i.e. the nose doesn't rub), but not so great if you have to straddle something like a speed bump.
  16. it was way too cold... my nose was runny the rest of the day. only about 40 degrees out. I'm crazy.
  17. The videos are nothing special. The mounting location seems pretty good though. > http://www.usa7s.com/forum/uploads/slngsht/CIMG0086_ new.wmv > http://www.usa7s.com/forum/uploads/slngsht/CIMG0087_ new.wmvslngsht38690.640162037
  18. I'll rearrange mine eventually. My oil pressure gauge on the passenger side. Here's the dash from the new Caterham CSR: http://www.usa7s.com/forum/uploads/slngsht/csrdash.jpg
  19. I can look at how it's wired on my car, but mine is an early model, and everything is probably different. I would think it'd be a toyota turn signal module.
  20. My turn signal is low and between the wheel and the body. Your solution will be pretty visible. What's the latest status on your car?
  21. The bracket that holds the master cylinder is much shorter now, and the master cylinders are moved down by about 1.5". The brake pedal now has much more leverage (used to be around 4:1 - now it's at 7:1). Part of this problem was self inflicted. I went with 3/4" bore master cylinders instead of 5/8", which made the pedal effort much higher.
  22. I finally got a new camera... here is a shot of the existing door hinges and corner of the windshield frame on my car. Let me know if anyone needs other pics. http://www.usa7s.com/forum/uploads/slngsht/2005-11-20_230038_CIMG0014.JPG
  23. New and improved! no problem with locking up on demand now. http://www.usa7s.com/forum/uploads/slngsht/2005-11-20_225858_CIMG0015.JPG
  24. Sounds great. We can continue to put info on the Yahoo group as we progress forward (perhaps once a week if there is progress). I also know of one Rotus owner in Hagerstown who may be interested. Ball park pricing is really important to get early on, so we can gauge interest better. Don, If you have any info on other body panels, please start a separate thread and let us know what you can do, and at what cost. Also, if you have a web site, post it up.
  25. Yep, the size would be totally different, but the basic concept would be the same. Don, how would you attach the top to the car?
