  1. I'm having a hard time getting excited about that. If they stink up the joint, drags Lotus through the mud. If they do well, I suppose it's a good marketing thing for Lotus, but real enthusiasts will know it's not really Lotus.
  2. I see alot of Malaysia, and a little bit of Lotus. Good for Fernandes in getting a national team going for Malaysia. Does Lotus have anything to do with design of the chassis at all?

    how much?

A wife takes a lover home during the day while her husband
is at work.
Her nine year old son comes home early, sees them, and hides in
the bedroom closet to watch.

Unexpectedly, the woman's husband also comes home....

She puts her lover in the closet,
not realizing that the little boy is already in there.
The little boy says, "Dark in here." Lover says, "Yes, it is." Boy: "I have a baseball." Lover: "That's nice." Boy: "Want to buy it?"
Lover: "No, thanks.."
Boy: "My Dad's outside." Lover: "OK, how much?" Boy: "$250."
Weeks later, it happens that the boy and the lover find themselves in
the closet again.
Boy: "Dark in here." Lover: "Yes, it is.." Boy: "I have a baseball glove" The Lover, remembering the last time, asks the boy, "How much?" Boy: "$750."
Lover: "Sold." A few days later, the Dad says to the boy, "Grab your glove, let's go
outside and have a game of catch." The boy says, "I can't, I sold my baseball and my glove." The Dad asks, "How much did you sell them for?" The boy says "$1,000." The Dad says, "That's terrible to rip off your friends like that...that
is way more than those two things cost.

I'm taking you to church, to confession". In church, the Dad makes sure the boy goes into the confessional and
closes the door....

The boy says, "Dark in here." The Priest says, "Don't start that sh!t again, you're in my closet
now."
  5. Is the "History" channel running out of material?
  6. wasn't me either.
  7. did he side swipe it on the way out? :jester:
  8. Yes, the safe thing to do is to move out of the way, cut someone else off to do it, or slam on the brakes, which is what I've always done in 24 years of driving. Oh well, like I said, it was a f*** it moment
  9. Yeah, 10 year old Yukon. A dent on the fender would've been a badge of honor, but all the contact did was wipe off a spot of salt.
  10. this was worse. he went from the main lane into the merge lane just to pass people and wasn't satisfied with just passing a few. He figured he'd just ride up and bully someone out of their lane.
  11. Understood, but I will not be filing a claim. No damage to my car. Anyone is welcome to look. Simply maintained my right of way from a car cutting into my lane* *Disclaimer: moving to the other lane or slamming brakes would have caused potential accidents with other vehicles. Forcing your azzhat client to adjust his driving habit was the safest thing to do.
  12. yes, got the plate and called it in. State police: pull over and see if there is damage to your vehicle. If you'd like, you can file a hit and run report. Moron had vanity plates on
  13. someone drive like a total ass, and think to yourself "I wish I was driving a big old car"? Well, today it happened. Snow clearing equipment ahead, doing about 45 in local lanes on 270. Ahole in a chevy express van decides its a good idea to use the merge lane to pass a few cars. I was the car he was going to squeeze out of my lane. So he pulls along side and starts coming over as his lane is ending. I guess he just caught me on a bad day - normally I just let'em go. I held my spot. He hit my mirror, which folded nicely. Came over a little more. I gave him a little push back and he backed off after a little fender action. Again, not a smart thing to do, but damn it felt good. He wouldn't make eye contact after that. (maybe he was looking for ammo?)

Man, my C5 is sooooo pedestrian nowadays. the numbers of that stang are impressive, but I'd take a ZR1 over that. the 3.8 Sec 0-60 isn't all that impressive. I guess that has to do with them limiting it to 500hp in first gear? I've done 3.3 in FRANKN7. I think my next vehicle purchase will be powered by a Duramax / Allison combo.
  16. swapping them out is pretty straight forward, but you'll have to deal with the holes left in the aluminum afterwards.
  17. According to Toyota, they did it by not having the right shim behind the throttle pedal assembly :jester:
  18. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Chevrolet-Silverado-3500-DURAMAX-2004-CHEV-3500-4x4-CREW-CAB-DUALLY-LT-DURAMAX-DIESEL_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem1c0ff7907eQQitemZ120526966910QQptZUSQ5fCarsQ5fTrucks only 765,000 of towing and it's already having engine troubles.
  19. a little more than half way through the paint job. Elapor is apparently difficult to bond to. We'll see how this paint holds up.

    joke

Two women friends had gone for a girls' night out. Both were very faithful and loving wives, however They had gotten over-enthusiastic on the Bacardi Breezers. Incredibly drunk and walking home they needed to Pee, so they stopped in the cemetery. One of them had nothing to wipe with so she thought She would take off her panties and use them. Her friend however was wearing a rather expensive Pair of panties and did not want to ruin them. She was lucky enough to squat down next to a grave That had a wreath with a ribbon on it, so she Proceeded to wipe with that. After the girls did their business, they proceeded to Go home. The next day, the husband of one of the women was concerned That his normally sweet and innocent wife was still in bed hung over, so he phoned the other husband and said: "These girl nights have got to stop! I'm starting to suspect the worst. My wife came home with no panties!!" "That's nothing," said the other husband, "Mine came back with a card stuck to her butt that said..... 'From all of us at the Fire Station. We'll never forget you.' "
  21. It didn't work out. There is a thread around here somewhere about that.
  22. Hi, and welcome aboard. Some of us get Top Gear through BBC America on some cable networks.
  23. plow still hasn't made it to our neighborhood, let alone our street. I did try a little to go out in the yukon yesterday - just out the driveway. Didn't seem like she would get stuck, but didn't take the chance, because if I did get stuck, it'd be a hell of a job to dig myself out - and I really didn't have anywhere to go.
  24. awesome. firing up my simulator to fly some RC.
  25. depends on who you ask. Toyota says it's a friction problem. But there are customers who swear the pedal was moving completely smoothly, but was no longer controlling engine power.
