  1. im in for saturday in my 7. shes not finished but should be in good enough shape to drive there/back.
  2. ill look forward to a future event
  3. i will be around if we do this one week later...
  4. the pads i was describing above are beck arnley silver supreme
  5. knock kncok.... the one and only wcm ultralite with a 2002 miata engine and gt28r turbo here. i love the ultralite because i dont need to call brian for parts. once you KNOW what part you need you can buy it anywhere. upgrades from brians design are also available on almost every aspect of the car (not saying that his design is insufficient). i do like the look of the caterham/westfield over the ultralite but i think its all about that big mouth. i love the width (im a skinny lithuanian ass), the low lights, and the ability to drive it daily with 19" wheels . wcm ultralite for the win here.

    la drivers?

    wow... just wow http://www.propergander.net/features/20050131.html
  7. ahh vw brakes, i know them well. ive had mixed feelings regarding hawks pads, they seem to devour rotors. i currently use beck arnly pads on all my vw's and the cold stopping is unreal (11.3" rotor front 9.4" rear) if interested i can provide you with the model number when im back in the shop in the am.
  8. o my.... tom u had me goin...........
  9. no, i have another miata motor sittin on the floor here ready to go into my 7. i just have to finish swaping 1 motor in the shop now and 3 trannies. then i can get back to my 7. its not been so bad because its SOOOOOOOO HOT AND HUMID.
  10. i got over 100mph with the stock miata motor in my wcm s2k. with the new turbo running the current non intercooled setup i was able to break 125 (at which point i almost needed another pair of pants). hopefully when the new motor goes in i can try again with some proper tires/wheels.
  11. welcome rob. your not the first and not the last to find out little community here. since we welcome all there are plenty of discussions on the different makes, models and their pros and cons if you are willing to scan back a bit in the general section. the best way to pick a car is to think about the following: how big/tall are you? will this be a street or track car? do you like low end power or top end power? do u think you will ever be caught in the rain? what kind of emissions and inspection system does your state require? are you mechanical and can you fabricate? and of course, how much money are you willing to put forth? 7's are all fantastic but getting the right one for you is like buying shoes. you will need to try a few pairs on before pulling your credit card. good luck, Roman
  12. its possible. even easier if u find one fs that is already in CA
  13. new motor has 19k on it so it should be as strong as my previous low mile motor. this will give me the opportunity to upgrade the clutch and get those 550 injectors for more power!!!!!!!!! really i just want to get the car back on the road LOL. its starting to feel like last summer and my electrical issues.
  14. car ran great till i blew the motor checked the coolant and did not put the cap back on.... overheated the sucker. new motor due tomorrow.
  15. crappy pick with wheels http://img34.imageshack.us/img34/4540/cimg3072resize.jpg
  16. i generally never plug within 1" of the sidewall so elsewhere is fair game. if your worried i would pull the tire and patch it from the inside.
  17. just saw this thread and im thinking about possibly joining in the ultralite. hopefully after the turbo kinks have been worked out . how late is it possible to sign up for this?
  18. wow boss... not so cool to come on to a forum as a junior member and start ripping members rides apart with your internet muscles. on this forum we like to take in all 7's even if their form is not our own ideal image. how would you like it if you posted a pic of your child or significant other and i responded by saying that they were the ugliest person ive ever seen and they should really get some surgery to be more like the "norm". if this is to much for you, perhaps you should click to another page.. as i stated earlier, the wheels came from my other car and they were only on there as a temp. the current wheel is actually the second pic on the first post in a 18x8 with 245/235/40 nt05 tire that fits perfect (in my eyes). pics tomorrow pics of the 19's on the actual car http://img295.imageshack.us/img295/9906/img1718km5.jpg
