DSK rear sway bar for Original Lotus 7 or Caterham
SevenAmerica replied to craig chima's topic in Parts For Sale / Wanted
Hey Craig, tag that for me please -- I can pay any time, and pick up next time I'm in the area! I'm interested in any of the other DSK or other bits that might come off the car as well :-) -
Hope things are okay Craig -- Heck, one more year and I'll buy it... did you see Ned's SIV sold off SimpleSevens? I'd be happy to promote your car there, though I'd rather tidy it up and flip it for you in the spring :-) Shouldn't have bought my Triumph last summer, I'd pretty much have the cash on hand :-) Does it have any weather gear at all?

I believe I have two different sets - one old race prepped, another NOS, unless I sold them already! Let me do some digging. I have other 948 spares at this point as well... feel free to email me on johnd@simplesevens.org. My own 1961 Seven America is waiting for me to finish the lightweight 948 I'm building for it!

I can measure to confirm, but if your S3 is to the original dimensions, they will be the same. Let me look into shipping and I'll get back to you. Thanks, jd

Here are a couple photos -- I took them off the shelf and placed them in my S2 so you can see the fit... Sorry, they are not the textured ones... I may have sold this already? Anyhow, there are some 'dimples' in the bases because I had some things set on them, and it's kinda chilly tonight here in Michigan. I can't be sure of these are from a late S2 or S3, but they are really comfortable compared to the original seats in my S2, especially the slightly sculpted setback - the photos make it look 'overstuffed' but I can assure you its not. Can try to get better daytime photos later if you're interested.

I have a set in black -- the fine basketweave texture, if you're still lookin'

SevenAmerica replied to Jawfish's topic in Parts For Sale / Wanted
ps the nose above is still available if anyone is in need :-) -
SOLD THANKS! Three Lotus Seven books, all great, barely read condition, all about 8 x 10 inches in size. The Chris Rees book is hardcover, about 200 pp, large color photo section Others softcover, about 175 pp, all black and white photos. Great resources all, they belong in any respectable Seven owner's library! Cheers, jd

Agree with the above... Joe, do you mind if I grab the photos and descriptions and put them up on SimpleSevens now? Also, I trust you had an agreed value policy on the car... but if you need help with valuation I am happy to provide support on that.

Parts needed for mid-80's Caterham
SevenAmerica replied to werthie's topic in Parts For Sale / Wanted
hey did he find a muffler? Does it need to be standard Caterham? I have two options, one stainless and one custom of what looks like a flowmaster silencer... you'd need to modify the inlet I suppose -

If you're still looking I think I have the tonneau for you... let me know and I'll go digging. Best to email me on johnd@simplesevens.org -
Talk to David himself, Pat Prince, or Clayton Seitz... I guess I haven't talked to them in about 10 years, but it seems that Pat was finishing a build of a DSK Seven for Clayton back then.

Leno's garage on Elan & real Lotus super 7
SevenAmerica replied to BusaNostra's topic in Seven Videos
Yes, cool but I agree there's rather more to that Seven now than there was on the photos of it on the docks... Great period photos those! -

Hey Brad, there's a pair of NOS 551s on ebay right now, from Australia, shipped to you total about $120 US. Not sure I'd sell my used ones for any less... Bonnet catches... that's another story, I'll have to count mine. -

I have a mild steel set for pre-crossfow, 4 into one collector outside the body, port for egt, 2.5 inch straight dump pipe. Let me know if you're interested. Also have an original muffler/silencer that could possibly be grafted on if you really want original. -

few people have these laying around... new ones are available from Holden.co.uk for much less than I'd sell an original set for. -
