Actually, it has been a pretty common thing over the years for car manufacturers to produce bikes, though most of the time they are just standard bikes rebranded. Yeah, the recumbents can be fast, but not so much uphill. There is a guy here that has one with a full fairing covering the entire bike, it is a rocket, I've chased him up at 30+mph on flat ground for a bit before he dropped me. So finally had the chance to tackle the issue today and it turns out it wasn't the foam after all. Pulled the filter out and there were a few particles of foam stuck in it, but nothing to cause the fuel starvation. So at this point we took out some of the foam in the tank and discovered that the fuel pick up hose that runs across the bottom of the tank had broken off (which explains why I was getting more starvation issues when making right turns). It was also a good thing this happened because we discovered that many of the rivets holding my floor up had broken and I was in danger of falling through the car And no, I don't weigh that much. There was some mods made earlier in the cars life for a support bracket that holds the high capacity fuel pump up under the driveshaft and some of the rivets had been removed for that bracket, which seems to have led to the others breaking little by little over time. I don't know how I had not noticed this before, especially since I had the seats out a few months ago to install new belts :banghead: .

Good find, the small foam cubes would be a lot easier than what I had to do last time which was one big piece that I had to cut up and try and fit into the tank. Will have to consider this, for the price of the aluminum I could do this 4 times Thanks

I was hoping I didn't need to fill the entire tank with these, it's going to be over $400 :ack: Haven't been able to find it in the US yet Pump is relocated outside the cell, as is the fuel filter. Would love to get rid of the cell or get a smaller one, it takes up the entire boot No kidding!

Thanks Mike, I will look into those. How much does one need of that stuff in a 55l tank though? I've been reading about the wiffle balls and can't seem to find an answer as to whether or not they would break down

Ha, no. The Morgan is a bit smaller, but the interior is luxurious compared to my 7 .

Here is the Cat with a new Mog 3 Wheeler. It is gorgeous Didn't get to drive it but got a ride. Not my cup of tea, too crude as noted above, definitely recreates that vintage feel though .

Shortly after I bought my 7 I had to replace the foam after it deteriorated and gummed up the fuel filter causing my fuel pump to eat itself which then send a million tiny pieces of aluminum into the fuel lines which then borked my injectors. Took months to get it all sorted out. The foam replacement was less than $100 though it was a PITA to cut and fit all the pieces in the bladder And now just 4 years to the day since I replaced the foam the car is having problems again and it looks like I am having to pull the tank. I don't want to deal with this again so can I run the fuel cell without the foam? Also I had read that some people use wiffle balls instead of foam

The car was restored and has since changed hands several times. It is here in LA

I have family visiting and don't have much time, so will get this over with in one big post.... :leaving: So even if we go with tyranny as the founding fathers reasoning, you can't tell me that had they known what technology would bring and how the guns would be used more for crime than fighting off the impending tyrannical govt that they would have been so vague in the constitution. The 2A is open to interpretation, and it could be read that by "well regulated militia" that they intended for guns to be locked away in bunkers with regulated public access in case of "tyranny" And why can't we have tanks, rocket launchers, bazookas, etc? We would need such weapons to defend ourselves from our own military since clearly guns aren't enough to stop the govt or no one would be worried that the govt will take them away I think it is pretty safe to say that our men and woman in service aren't brainwashed enough to let some dictator turn our military on the people. It's pretty selfish of them not to be willing to compromise. What I also don't get is that I had to jump through hoops and wait 6 months to register my Caterham (not to mention had I bought it new I would have had to wait even longer for the delivery), what's so hard about having to wait and/or jump through some hoops to get a gun? If you want it bad enough, you should be willing to do whatever it takes. Heck, it was harder for me to adopt my dog than it would be to get a gun in some states. ------ Not necessarily true, in many of the mass shootings the perpetrator was wearing body armor and in the Columbine school shooting there was armed guard and that didn't stop the shooter. In fact the only thing that stopped the shooters was the shooter taking their own life And why just schools? Should we have armed guards in every mall, supermarket, movie theater, Home Depot, Walmart, gas station (remember the DC sniper?) etc.? What about in public parks? Police state? Where do you draw the line? And who is going to pay for these arm guards? And what about paying for the insurance to cover the lawsuits that result when the armed guard/teacher/staff accidentally shoots a student? These people have protection because they often have stalkers and get threatened regularly. The average citizen doesn't have to worry about this And the President and his family is required to have secret service, so it is a bit silly of you (and the NRA) to make issue of this as he has little to do with the decision So is her permit to carry for an "assault" weapon or are you just trying to spin even more bullshit? ------- What nonsense! .
