I came up on a female driver standing by her stranded car, one morning. I stopped and asked if I could help. She said she was locked out of her car. I noticed that she was holding a bulky set of keys with two remotes, but having just got off overnight work, It confused me. At the same time she pointed one of the remotes at the car and there was no response from the locks. She asked me if there was a store nearby, where she could get a battery for her blipper. This sort of freed up my circuits so I said "excuse me" and took her key ring from her, selected a key and unlocked the door. Then I said " Now you can drive to the store and buy a battery for your blipper" I look back at the incident and can only find it funny in a tragic way. m I now believe that Mickey D's and it's rivals are putting something in the food.

The pilot that was eyeballing the orange Lambo. That reminds me of an incident where I was waiting to pull out of a gas station fore court. 5 car lengths to my right was a busy stop light. This kit and a female passenger were approaching from my left and the driver was gawking at the 7. The girl tapped him on the shoulder and pointed at his red light. luckily they got stopped in time. It made me wonder if one could be held as a contributing factor in an accident, if someone took their eyes off the road to gawk at my unusual car. I'm pretty sure in these days of "blame others, I don't have to be held responsible for my actions", one could get dragged into a sordid mess. Then your insurance co gets involved. m

Thanks for the link. I'm keen on the keyless entry...for the M3 but it's out of stock. I thought SPAL only made cooling fans m

I have driven for 3 hours in the rain to the track in the rain. Hooned around on the track in drizzle, then 3 hours back in heavy rain. No weather gear, on Kumho R comps. I was wishing that the screen wipers were on both sides of the front screen though....Between arse puckering pools of standing water. The car did not like sitting in rainfall...started to pop and misfire. m

Hmmm. makes me look at those Quad ATV covers in a new light. My Birkin is susceptible to rain getting at the plug wires through the Bonnet louvers, though. m

If I was in your shoes, you wouldn't have any, but what I reckon is....You're standing at the edge of an Ant Lion trap. To ensure that you don't have the sand slip away from under your feet and you fall into the trap, I would casually, and carefully mention your two choices to SWMBO. Tactfully get around to finding out which one SHE would prefer, and then discover which one she thinks is a chick magnet. Then buy the one she prefers. It makes you wonder why you are back almost full circle into repeating history. Me? I'd pick the 7, as I enjoy the activity of driving a light weight hard core driving machine. m

I believe the beefy flange is designed for direct bolting to the Cat-conv. The Ford contours have the cat-con right in front of the block also. m

10 psi per 1000 revs is good. m

The English Ford specialist, Burton Power http://www.burtonpower.com/Default.aspx have a really nice catalog with a synopsis of several ford gearboxes including the type 9. m -

The USA Birkins used all versions of the 2.0L NA Zetec. Birkin have a Bespoke branded bell housing to fit the engines to the type 9 5 speeder. I fail to recall if the bolt pattern for the Crossflow is the same as the Zetec but I suspect it is. m -
Heh heh , It did look idyllic until the white car appeared over the horizon. Then I thought "Oh Shi**! Cop! m

Congrats! Welcome to the loon,.. er, life of Se7en :hat::cheers: m

What?! I have a type 9. We need more technical content :hurray: Was it mechanical or an organic interface problem? m

Your first post appeared to me to be abrasive. You are evidently direct enough to be considered abrasive, as your second posting would suggest. Once we become familiar enough with the language of your postings, i'm sure we'll :grouphug: m

... The blurb says that this one flashes 7 times per second. The guy behind you go into convulsions, but not of laughter. m

If it was a Caterham I'd be off it. Since Westfield can no long sell 7 S3 clones, I guess I don't feel too bad about it. I don't think its as bad as a Donkey. I'd like to see one in carbon fibre. I'm sure it goes like sh8te off a shovel. m

The cD of a Caterham is in the 0.7 range. I wonder what it is for that...Um, Westie. m

I've seen that thread on S14.net which is another of my haunts for my other lust machine...91 E30 M3. I don't know if it's me but a lot of these neo classic finds have been popping up lately. All I'm asking for is the chance to personally find out if these finds are genuine. :jester: m

Paraphrase [it, looks as if we're having someTesticular problems] Journo's cardinal rule #2 , thou shalt not lose one's cool during a live take...You won't make Anchor. Journo's cardinal rule #1, Thou shalt not, as a Journo, read your cynical asides, or anyone else's on your crib sheet during live takes...You won't make Anchor. m

:svengo: It seems like the Cop cruiser and the Journo were parked too close to the slide and they distracted and blindsighted the driver. He was looking at them and then was confused as his attention went back to the road.By then he had no time to recover. I've seen inappropriate vehicle placement by LEOs frequently. This one probably had to park to protect the unsafe parking of the journo (vulture). m

It's a shame really. I drive my 7 on the street and I have encountered senior citizen drivers and others with cell phone prosthetics(sp?) that will simply pull up to the stop sign, then proceed. The cell phone addicts are reckless and careless. They don't stop or yield. The seniors are different. They stop, and look, and wait. If a normal sized silhouette approaches, they typically wait. An unusual silhouette like a 7 or a bike seems to cause some problems, sort of like a cognitive dissonance, imo. They see you, you sense they do, but they will pull out when you're right on top of them. Imo, safety harness and other sundry equipment in use on a street driven 7 is pointless when it concerns car vs 7 collisions. Especially when most of the cars that are prone to hitting you are 3 ton SUVS and Cowboy Cadillacs . You have no crush zones. You're going to get run over, period. The reflexes of your 7 and your situational awareness are all a 7 driver has. Traffic laws do not pertain to 7ners, you have no rights(especially no right of way) , so drive it like they're all out to get you. Be fast and safe. m

Has anyone ever gotten their left elbow trapped between the seat and the body. I was at an autox on an eighth mile oval . I had just climbed from the in field onto the oval and had to counter steer a little oversteer and my elbow went back and got caught. I kept the throttle on and went in a power oversteer drift around the section, wondering how I was going to free my elbow without jerking the steering and losing the car as I had to come off that section back into the infield. I got it done but did hit one cone. Some guy came up to me and nastily accused me of showboating. I said nothing, thinking if only you knew. My next run was FTD, so I'll bet he was just dandy . I had this happen again in a certain red solo 2 DM champion Westie. m
