I ordered the Signal Dynamics Self-Canceling Turn Signal Module 01501 But then someone posted on my other post that it would be better to use the Signal Dynamics Pentastar-XP Turn Signal/Brake Light System Module 01017 So I cancelled my order till I posted this. I don't want to figure out all the wiring options. Can I still use the diagram posted earlier in this topic with a small mod like adding the brake wire or will I have to re figure out all the wiring? Tony

Just found this thread. I just posted in another looking for a better wiring diagram and here it is. Thanks guys. Let you know how it comes out.

I know this is an old thread, but I would like to install the SDS module in my Caterham and in my friends Caterham. I am trying to get my head around the install diagram. I have a power wire that comes into my turn signal toggle. Then the one wire each for both left and right signals. So do I just splice the SDS unit in between those wires? A little more info on how you guys did it would be helpful Thanks.

Hi all, Most of you know me. I have just become the new Caterham dealer, with my friend Rick Muck, located just outside of Buffalo NY. If you need any parts or would like a new Caterham, please let me be of service to you. I have done this as my 20 plus year ownership of a Caterham has been one of the high points of my life and I still enjoy the adventure every time I get in the car. My phone number is 716-861-1412 or I can be reached at my new email address of tony*at*.@timemachinesauto*dot*com or my old address of tvacc*at*lotusowners*dot* you know where. I have always done my best to help all and believe I have been honest and fair in all my dealings. I certainly plan to continue in that endeavor in the future. Thank you all for your great words of encouragement and offers of help. Tony Vaccaro http://www.lotusowners.com http://www.timemachinesauto.com

Hey, I resemble that remark Leave us not forget that it was me at LOG 19 in 1999 who invited the Birkin folk from South Africa and put their cars on display in front of the hotel, much to the displeasure of my fellow Lotus 7 owners. Got a lot of remarks about that move. I may have even lost bringing in Graham Nearn because of it. I had asked the then Caterham Distributor in Atlanta, Frank (forgot his last name) to invite Graham as a speaker. We had already invited a Lotus guy in as the main speaker (cannot remember who). Frank got back to me and said that Graham would not come over if he was not the MAIN speaker and he knew about the Birkins being invited. He gave me every impression that it was Graham's decision. Later on in 2000 or so, I met Graham Nearn and we had a nice long talk. Nice guy. I asked him about LOG and if he knew he had been invited to LOG in 1999. He said he had no idea and would have loved to come over. That is one of my disappointments, Graham has now passed, he was really a nice man and I would have loved to have heard more of his stories. If he was still alive, I would have invited him for LOG 33 this year. Oh. I am looking for a non SV car. Standard long cockpit didion S3 car.

Hi all, A lot goes into planning a LOG. The track day is just one part of a successful LOG. For all intensive purposes you cannot rent the Glen unless you rent it every year, so that actually put the idea of renting the Glen out of the realm of reasonable possibility. As far as going to another track, you have to think of things like the Hotel. What are the requirements and guarantees required by the Hotel. What is the FBM (Food and Beverage Minimum) that you have to guarantee to spend. How many rooms. Are you going to be THE big fish at the hotel, or one of the smaller fish among other conventions. And it had to be a place that I could get to within a few hours drive of my house for the planning of the car show, the rallies, the dinners, the reception etc. I would like to say that it as easy as just having to make one or two trips to the site during the months before a LOG, but I bet I will see the Watkins Glen area 10 times before August 2n,3rd,4th. This is something that my son and I will put in probably 100 or more hours before LOG. V Very tough to do when it is 2 hours from your home, but impossible when you move it 10 hours away. Don't get me wrong, I have always dreamed of doing a LOG with my son, so this just going be one great "deal" for me. But the point I am trying to make is that there is a lot that has to come together. And LOG will be fun even if you don't get to go on the track other then the laps and lunch.

Hi all, LOG has been moved to Watkins Glen and Corning NY. Aug 2,3,4 2013. See the other post in this section. Please join us, it will be a good LOG. I promise.

Wow, I dont have a clue how this got out so fast, but it is true. My son and I are co-chairs fo the LOG this year and it will be at Watkins Glen and Corning NY. Dates are Aug 2,3,4. We really had not choice on the track day. You cannot rent the Glen unless you rent it every year. There are just no dates open. We had to get what we could get and working with the Porsche group was our only option. We had planned on posting out the lists this week with more information. I will do so. I have been involved with 3 LOGs. First one was in 1987 when I was the guy responsible for bringing in Innes Ireland as the speaker. Then I chaired the events in 1999 at the Glen again and 2003 at Grand Island NY. I know how to put on a LOG and I am teaching my son. So I am passing the torch so to speak. Please join us. It will be a good time. If anyone wants any more info, just contact us. You know the email. tvacc *at* lotusowners *dot* you know what.

Hi guys, Just saw this. I am the one that actually worked on the deal selling it to Jorn. Dave had the car but it was listed on the LOONY site and that is where Jorn saw it. As is my agreement with Dave, I handle the deals on most Caterhams that are on my site. Sold quite a few of them the past year. I am so happy that Jorn likes the car and is satisfied with the purchase. It is tough to buy a car sight unseen from halfway around the world and not have things go amiss. But everything went fine. Just to correct, I am not the head of the US Lotus Owners group. I am the "head" of the NY Lotus Owners group. Now I am not the President of that either at this time, but have been so in the past. But I am the one that organizes everything and does the website. I think I am Vice President or Treasurer right now. We dont put too much into those titles, positions, and all that other "club" BS. We all just concentrate on driving our cars.

Since my name has been mentioned several times in this post, thought I would chime in. I have been very happy to to put 5 or 6 Caterham sellers and Caterham buyers together in the past few months. All have been very happy with the cars and I really enjoy doing it. Not one of them did I solicit being involved in. ( i think, but maybe there was one that I offered my services) As the general rule, people approach me to about their cars, find them a buyer or find them a car. Not two weeks goes by that I dont get a call or Email. And I dont do this for free, but I dont get rich either. That is what makes the world go round. So when a person calls me about a car, if it is fairly priced, I usually do have a buyer for it. Fairly priced is of course the operative word. And even that has multiple layers. If a person has a car that he has done a lot of "things' to it, then you have to find the one person that wants that car. Sometimes it takes months or even a year or more. In the case of this car, it was fairly priced and I knew someone that would buy it because of that. All I was concerned about is the the seller and the buyer were happy, and they both were. I do not feel bad because someone else did not get it, that was not my fault that someone else did not see the value of the car the same way I did. It is all about the timing, knowing the market, having the connections and be able to convey to a buyer the wisdom to pull the trigger on a moments thought. If someone thinks this is a "buying group" or some organized affair, I can assure that it is very much just me shooting from the hip. I really wish it was more organized. I would love to make my living selling Caterhams. Wow....what a job!!!!!

Our research shows that adding the blue (marine) version of stabil does in fact help, according to Stabil. I plan to use it in every tank from now on. 2oz in each tank full.

1993 de dion Caterham 1700cc crossflow for sale
tvacc replied to rick little's topic in Cars For Sale
Yes...that is the one I was thinking of. But to be honest that is a little after my highschool days and college days. I think I was more of a Playboy centerfold era person. My dad used to allow me to buy them at the drugstore down the street when I was about 13 or 14. I used to charge them to my dad's account. I had a nice father in that regard. -

Yes...I wish I had the cash. Your M100...My Caterham, this Spyder Elan and my current supercharged Elise would be my dream garage. Of couse if you throw in a Ferrari Daytona, it would be one of those dreams I had when I was a teenager with Farrah Fawcetts picture on the wall. -

tvacc replied to rick little's topic in Cars For Sale
Thought I would chime in. Rick has been very nice and has offered to let me buy it back. He is really a standup guy and a man of his word. I am unfortunetly tied up with a 71 Spyder chassis Elan. Great car with 26R fenders and a screamer motor, but not my Caterham. In my opinion it is also the ultimate street/track Elan. I am trying to put it back together to sell but my computer business is getting in the way. I need to assemble the rebuilt block to the rebuilt head and put the engine in the car. I then need to rebuild and assemble all four brake calipers do some mild interior stuff. I wouild love to buy my car back. If I could find the cash, I would buy it now and sell the Elan later, but I am not able to do that now due to various reasons. This Elan will be worth about 30K when I am done, but I will not be done soon enough. Dont mean to hijack this thread and i dont think I am as an Elan buyer is not a Caterham buyer but Anyone want to buy a partially taken apart Elan so I can buy back my car?A similar car without the 26R bodywork just sold on EBay for 32K
