I bought this from MK Sportscars for my Indy,but ended up just installing a new quick ratio gear in my existing Sierra. This is a brand new UK Escort 2.7 rack lock-to-lock and includes mounts,cost me $250US plus shipping from UK,sell for $200 shipped to USA...

I looked at some pictures of my S1 (the car is in storage) and I have those weld seams also (although mine look smooth not jagged like the sellers car),they appear to be a tube welded into a larger tube but I can't look at my car right now to confirm this-I will try to go by and take a closeup picture of mine tomorrow...

I believe mrmustang is correct,that looks like a crack to me. The seller should take some pics of that at different angles and look underneath to see exactly what it is... -

I agree,the car is priced very well. It did not come stock with a lsd,only an open diff. Horsepower stock was around 140,still this is a great driving 7 (I have an S1 and have had many 7 style cars over the years),the sellers lack of responses-maybe he doesn't know the answers will hurt his auction outcome. Again though that is alot of car for the money.... -
I always liked that style wheel,be sure to post a picture after mounting.
