  1. I'm currently running NT01 for a street tire; at least until they wear out (dry tire only......just ask Croc, he's seen me in action in the wet with these ). I've also ran the Falcons. IMHO, the NT01 is the better choice. And, FWIW, my next 'street' tire will be the Toyo R1R; good all-around wet/dry capability.
  2. It would definitely transform my Storker into a porker. :jester: Mods would be an evil must. :smash: I was thinking more along the lines of street rod from hell.
  3. Now Mike, that's just mean! :toetap05:.......and brutally honest! :jester: I look at that car and think to myself, 'now what can I put that engine in?'

  5. Tonight, I'm back in the little town of Hooks, TX for a visit with family........this just keeps getting better.

  7. What luck! And, dang the luck.
  8. ......any or you guys who ran at NJMP in July (USA7's) know this car? It was at the NJMP event that weekend and was also in my run group at COTA.
  9. Or maybe something like a 680hp LS7 powered . . . . .
  10. That's because you mispelled the brand......it's Storker . . . . . :toetap05: And what's an AMG Pacer? :jester: . . . . .
  11. Wow!
  12. Croc, Thanks. Makes the coffee good this morning. But I think your web site needs a bit of tweaking. Spell choke struck as it changed 'racing tires' to 'recycling turds'; pulled up adds for three Pintos, a Yugo and two AMC Pacers. :D
  13. Steve, Running Wilwood BP-20 pads. Wilwood basically has three levels of brake pads; BP-10 (mainly street), BP-20 (street/track) and BP-30 (full blown performance pad). The pad o’ choice in the world of Wilwood-adorned Storkers is the BP-20. The 10 is pretty much worthless for serious high performance driving and the 30 tends to eat rotors (or so I’ve been informed), thus making the 20 a good, all around pad. My pads, after 8,000 + miles and two + years of track days, were right at 50%. Here’s my part number: . . . .
  14. Veeeery funny . . . . . . . :toetap05:
  15. ......and the fact that I delete articles in sentences? D)#% it!
  16. Have I mentioned just how much I hate spell choke feature of the Bat phone?
  17. I think the friction is what kept me from running a 1:08 at NJMP. And I'm pretty sure that's why I kept having trouble with turn one. Wait! What's that smell . . . . It sure ain't break dust.
  18. . . . . . :auto:
  19. The Whiffle ball folks in CT backed their play and sent me eight very nice balls of various sizes for testing. I currently have my four smallest balls undergoing a winter soaking in a container of gasoline (92 octane with a ‘possible’ 10% ethanol blend). Upfront report; my balls do not float. I'll provide a follow-up report on this thread sometime next year regarding the condition of my balls. As for my other four balls, they are being shared among household members for their entertainment value. Okay, Mike, surely that’s enough ammunition for a good ball joke or two……I know you’re chomping at the bit to let loose. :jester: . . . . . .
  20. Okay, guys. I know several of you, as am I, are using Wilwood brake assemblies on your cars. Earlier this week, while replacing the front pads, I decided to remove the dust covers for a quick visual (peace of mind) inspection. Even though I had (continue to have) zero slop in my assembly, I simply wanted a peak. The photos below are what I found. :ack: That sparkly stuff adhering to the grease on the cotter pin, the castle nut and the end of the spindle is aluminum shavings. :svengo: Those are also aluminum shavings in the dust caps, and were once part of the dust caps. It seems the cotter pins (both sides) have been rubbing against the inside of the dust covers since installation. Luckily, there was no damage other than the dust covers. However, bearings are being replaced for, again, peace of mind. My words of advice?......go back, remove your dust covers and check your assembly for cotter pin-to-dust cover interference…..just in case.
  21. FWIW, here is a vodeo of my car in the rain at NJMP. I didn't have a set of dedicated rain tires, so I put my on the Toyo R1R's for the session and the tires performed very well . . . . Driver performance is another story :jester: :
  22. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!
  23. Might try the Toyo R1R.
  24. So, just exactly how much moneypenny will this set one back? :jester:
  25. Skip, you're an inspiration!
