  1. I drove a Seven .. down my driveway last night! Red Rotus 7 chassis #14 is at home in my carport as of 8:30pm. She looks a little rough .. but with time hopefully she will make a decent appearance. She was transported in an enclosed trailer .. in one day. The driver picked her up at Dennis Hedges shop in WV in the early morning and drove all day to Atlanta, GA I pulled off the hood and admired the new head and newly rebuilt carbs (did that part myself). New rewind wheels and tires look good. Next I pulled off the fabric top and got a look at the instrumentation and new harness wiring. Still some work to be done. Oil sender is not right. Analog Clock and Tach do not work for some reason. The Muth Signal Mirrors look great on either side of the windshield. Dennis left alot of parts and gaskets in the back storage area. I got to go through that and sort what is to be salvaged and tossed. First impressions: I bought a small monster! Looks great in the dark! Hopefully it won't look too bad in the sunshine. My wife wasn't impressed. Maybe it will grow on her. Rob Mitchell

  6. One of the cars which did the USA 2005 tour out west featured a removable basket made out of aluminum and plywood. It is basically a luggage carrier with black netting over the top and a place to relocate and mount the license plate. Looks like a pretty cool thing to have if you want to haul stuff on a tour. I wish I could remember where I saw this car .. Rob Mitchell

  13. Hehe! Non 7 ticket: Last time I got pulled over .. I was literally 2 minutes from the ER .. and the state trooper did not know who I was. I had to convince him that I was the ER doc and needed to get on to work. Of course it did not help that I had the Celica convertible top down and a 22" Weber Charcoal Grill in the back seat. I got off though by inviting him to come by later to the ER and get a hot dog. Rob Mitchell solder_guy2006-08-30 18:41:23

I also joined "The Prisoner" Fan Club for one year. Their fanzine is well done .. but too much over the top in detailed analysis of the show for me to continue. I really haven't gotten into reading the issues. Rob Mitchell solder_guy2006-08-24 15:00:08
  19. I bought my doors and a spare top from Ted P. and had them shipped to Dennis Hedges to have them fit to my car. Dennis' comment was that he made them. There were some eBay auctions about 4-5 months back for Cat doors and top in the UK. They went for about $500 and $200 respectfully. Rob Mitchell solder_guy2006-08-24 11:45:25
