  1. The Tillett seats are sold. Thanks for all of your interest. Dave
  2. There are have been a few questions regarding the additional trimming I performed on one of the two Tillett seats. I believe I emailed additional pictures to everyone who asked, but I'll post them here as well, just in case in missed someone. The "in-car" photos were taken before I sealed the edge with adhesive. The seats fit in my Seven without the added trimming, but removing the extra material allows for more fore and aft range of motion. Thanks, Dave
  3. Hi Daniel, The release bearing is set up for a .625 master cylinder piston diameter. My plan was to use it with a standard Girling master cylinder, as used on most Seven type cars. To verify that it will work in your system, it might be worth emailing Dave Coolridge at Retro Ford. The time I contacted him, he replied pretty quickly. Thanks, Dave
  4. The images should be visible now, as attachments. For some reason the public album pictures are not visible. I'm going to assume user error... Thanks again for looking, Dave
  5. Hi Dave, I will also add additional images of the seats, if you want to see more detail. Thanks Dave
  6. Can you not see them in the message? They show up for me. I also created a public gallery in the profile, showing the pictures. Thanks, Dave

  9. Hi Allan, The set up in my car is nearly identical to Dingo's. I took a few pictures of the mount, but with the transmission in place, they didn't come out particularly well. If you're in the SoCal area, you're welcome to come buy and take measurements of of the trans mount support structure in my car. My car is LHD as well, with the support tube such as a RHD car. Best regards, Dave
  10. Hi Allan, It looks like you may have the wrong gearbox bracket. On page 72 of Tony Weale's Lotus 7 book, the riveted in gearbox bracket shown has a flat surface with holes to mate with the gearbox mount. Also, my Arch, Lotus style S2/S3 chassis, has a flat mount similar to the picture (with additional structure brazed structure to tie the mount to the steel tubes). I can send pictures if needed. I hope this helps, Best Regards, Dave
  11. If it doesn't sell as a lot and you are willing to ship parts, I am interested in the front suspension parts (Item 1, on your list). Thanks, Dave

    L.A. Area

There is lots to do, but around LAX and the general LA area. Here's my quick list. Car/Aircraft Museums: Automotive Driving Museum (http://www.automobiledrivingmuseum.org). It's right next to LAX, but relatively small. It's a good way to spend 30 minutes to an hour. Museum of Flying (http://www.museumofflying.com). It's small also, but worth the visit. The museum is located on the grounds of the Santa Monica Airport. The Peterson Mueseum Book Stores: AutoBooks AeroBooks in Burbank (http://www.autobooks-aerobooks.com). If you have a rental car it's definitely worth the drive. Jay Leno and other car owning celebs stop in pretty regularly. Roads/Driving: Drive up Mullholland and have lunch at The Rock Store (another Leno hang out). http://www.rock-store.com Drive up Angeles Crest Hwy in the San Gabriel Mountains and have lunch at Newcomb's Ranch. (http://newcombsranch.com) This is my favorite motorcycle/driving road. Use caution and watch out for motorcyclists, bicyclist, cars, and cops. I hope this helps, Back to work (you can email me with questions if needed dvanlueATgmail.com) Dave
  13. Thanks for the restrictor info. Tony (and his peers) are great resources and have been incredibly helpful to me over the years. I forgot to mention the motor mount. The Caterham unit which clears the dry sump pump is nicely made. It fits well too. Thanks again for the info. Dave
  14. Have you talked with any of the Kent based race engine builders, such as Dave Bean, Craig Chima, Tony Ingram, Jeff at JAE, MWE, Ivey, or any of the others? I know Dave Bean sells press in restrictors for Twincams and BD-series engines, which are sometimes used on push-rod motors. I'm building a similar spec engine for track and street (it's been on my engine stand for a long time, while I work on other aspects of the car) and am not currently planning to run a restrictor. I'm interested to know what you're heard or hear. Thanks, Dave
  15. Harmon Racing Cells built me a complete FIA certified bladder, with foam and a collector, for an old Fuel Safe Lotus Seven cell, for around $1K. It might be worth giving them a call to compare prices. They are a small shop of prior Fuel Safe employees, from when FS was in California. I hope this helps. http://www.harmonracingcells.com/Fuel_Cells.html Dave
