My whole weekend got filled up, so I don't think it's going to happen for me.
-
I'd be interested. Not 100% about availability yet though, so "tentative" it is.

sad, but true -
Understood. We'll have to do it another time.

Are Bruce and I the only ones able to attend with 7s? Roman in or out now? If it's still on, I should be able to get there by 9:30 or 9:45. I plan to leave as soon as the drive's done though, to get a few things done in the afternoon.
-
Unless something unexpected comes up, I expect to be able to join in.
-
At the moment, it looks like I have plenty of time to join you guys.
-
Latest news for me, is that I'm unavailable for any fun in the 7 until the following weekend. Sorry to miss it.
-
At this point, I fear I may be more toward no than yes.
-
My status is "hopeful participant". Wife broke her foot, so I am limited to "babysitter" availability.
-
I can't commit yet, but hopefully my wife and I will both be able to make it. She loved the lotus tunnel drive we did, and wants to do more drives.
-
Between BCX meets and the upcoming car shows, you might find some local interest in it. Just make sure you replace it with something that can still join us from time to time.

Roman, It was tons of fun. Even my wife enjoyed it enough to want to go again, and she's not into going for rides. There were at least 4 people with GoPros, but I have yet to see links to any videos. My wife took a few quick clips with her iPhone of some tunnels, but I suspect GoPros would be much more enjoyable.

Attached should be the PDF version of the PALS driving directions, in case anyone wants to go some other time, or in case of separation. I'm almost 100% sure to be there. LotusDriveSterlingHillMine.pdf

from http://lotuspals.ning.com/ :driving: I believe I'll be able to make it, perhaps with my wife, though I suppose that may mean less spirited driving for me. Time: April 7, 2013 from 8:30am to 12pm Location: NNJ/NEPA Event Type: scenic, drive A Spirited Drive that will take us on the "tunnel" route that starts in Allamuchy and takes us around the Pequest Fill with it ending at Sterling Hill Mining Museum. It utilizes about 60 miles of well-paved, twisty County routes, and the big BONUS are the tunnels....more than 6 of them! The drive will start at 0900. Participants should arrive by 0830. Meet at the Panther Valley Mall parking lot. It is the first strip mall on the right when you take exit 19 off of rt. 80 and take county rd 517 south. Duration of drive is expected to be 2 hours. Food and drink will be available at the finish site and tours of the mine are available at 1200 for participants to do on their own if they wish. Sterling Mine Museum is off Rt 517 between Rts 23 and 15 - The Sterling Hill Mining Museum The event will occur rain or shine.

Drudgereport, theblaze and elsewhere reporting on or linking to this story... summary: woman doesn't like the county reassessing her property without inspecting it, county assessor doesn't like being questioned, claims she threatened him, gets her arrested and guns confiscated. Similar story was out in CA (surprise, surprise) http://www.infowars.com/new-jersey-woman-arrested-for-reciting-constitution-at-tax-meeting/

After banning the Pepsi - what next in NY
crewst replied to BusaNostra's topic in Politics, Religion and Controversy
re: the actual size limit Comrade Bloomberg pushed, my understanding was that the courts smacked it down. has he hit donuts and general fast food yet? Maybe a burger size limit and french fry count or weight limit. What a clown. In a democratic republic, the people get the government they deserve. I don't know where that saying comes from, but it certainly applies. I assume he won't be running again, or will have a harder time winning next time around. (term limits?) -
Changing out a Honda S2000 for a Superformance S1?
crewst replied to B-T's topic in General Sevens Discussion
I love my S1. I prefer the body over that of other 7s, but I do wish we had "real" suspensions in the back. Several times I've had to let off the gas during a "spirited drive" because of the uneven or bumpy road. I wouldn't trade it for anything though. LOVE to drive it. I imagine all 7 owners likely would say something similar. I have never tracked mine, so I can't offer any information on track use. -
I'll put myself in the "hope to spectate" category. Most likely with my 7 unless I catch a ride with someone on the way there.
-
I'm almost certain to have my Superformance there. As far as I know, my morning does not involve any commitments other than the meet. BTW Steve, I discovered that even topless at 17 degrees, it's still fun to drive. Previous record was "only" 28.
-
Roman, If you have a radio slot, just pop a cig lighter in there. The S1s have a cover for the slot, and if I can find a cover that will actually stay in place, I'm putting in a cig lighter for GPS power. Given the temperatures during my recent outings, heated gloves is sounding pretty good. At the last BCX meet, my gloves finally couldn't cut it. Temp outside was 17 degrees. Had to drive to my parents' house first, before the meet, so about an hour driving. About halfway to my parents' house I started thinking about your heated glove post. I've decided that the key to cold weather in a 7 is the hat. I got a bomber-style, leather, fake fur. Works fantastically, even got complimented that it fits the car. Typical comments about the 7 that day were related to sanity of the driver. :-)

Bah! I was going to get one of each, just went with the T-shirt instead. I wonder of the cafepress caterham/seven designs are done on anything of decent quality.
