Paul Hill
Curiosity question.... How many on here are enjoying the Canadian Thanksgiving this weekend? I know I know...lots of turkeys here! There seems to be a large number of Canadians on this forum but how big of a percentage are we? Happy Thanksgiving!

xcarguy
Paul, Today, here in south Arkansas, I will eat turkey (actually, ham) and dressing in honor of all my neighbors to the north. Yes, I'm having ham and dressing for lunch today. Shane

Paul Hill
In the course of getting old (will be 62 in a week) and crotchety I have somehow developed a severe aversion to the aroma of cooking turkey, to the point that it nauseates me. Love to eat it still though, just can't handle the smell of it cooking. So, for years now, we cook them out on the back porch in a portable electric oven. We will be feeding 20+ at lunch tomorrow...7 kids, some with spouses, inlaws, and assorted other freeloaders. So 1 stuffed Butterball cooked overnight last night, another cooking as I write. The spuds will get peeled, turnips diced, pies cooked at our leisure today. Makes tomorrow lunch a little more relaxed with a bit of advanced planning. Z3 Stalker
We had our Thanksgiving Dinner last night. Hope everyone enjoys theirs as mush as I did mine:)
raceral
We are cooking turkey today in preparation for the hungry people tomorrow. Thanksgiving also serves a dual purpose as our youngest kid, the baby of the family, who also has 4 of her own babies turns '40'. Eeeeghads, starting to feel old, still wish I was 62.:smilielol5: Al

Paul Hill
Shane and all who did NOT have turkey today.... Well guys, it was tough but I FORCED myself to eat enough for all of you who missed out today! Seriously, we had an almost perfect day... All 7 kids made it home for our "lunch" meal, some from as much as 3 hr away. Rosemarie's folks... in their 80s...arrived by train Saturday, will catch a noon train back to Hamilton tomorrow. Our 1st (and so far only) grandchild, 10 months old, entertained with his almost crawling routine. Weather was perfect, mid 60s and sunny. And full bellies all around. Can it get any better???
