I didn't see anyone else mention this but go to http://www.zeefoto.com click on Deals Gap then Lotus 7 at Tapoco lodge. There are 181 pictures of us. There might be some dragon pictures in there, I just found it.

I shouldn't pick on a sevener but you need a wider road or a narrower car. You oops in front of a camera on the Dragon.

PB...thanks for the link. I've always considered Darryl "Killboy" C. the dean of the Gap photogs, but it was cool that this guy got coverage of the Lodge...lots of good static/artsy shots.

FWIW, I ordered 2 hi-rez pix from Darryl...one on the non-parade out and then one after running out of gas...looks like I'm the only on on the road and he got some twisties in the background.

I am familiar with (and like very much, having hitched a ride Sunday AM!) that car and driver, and they were definitely not the only ones lane crossing last weekend...(did you see the S2 of James Wilson on the Killboy homepage? YIKES!) I tried to be very good about that the whole weekend, but as we all know there are parts of the Gap where you can see for a while and if you look real hard on killboy's store, I put two tires on the yellow right in front of him (did that in the TT last Nov, too!!! I guess it's nerves being on camera).

The good news is that the group was largely praised for our good driving over the weekend. Which was not the case for an Elise group that came in the past year or so. WHEW

Great photos from zeephoto.

Is the owner of the car pictured in #35 on this forum? It has a turbo Miata engine and a red roll cage. I'd like to talk to you off line.

Some engine pics. My Stalker pic was a little fuzzy, so I hope he doesn't mind but I stole one from Dennis' site...

And here's a picture of some of the non-seven British cars at the group photo. Tony V's Cooper S (T-shirt hauler), Nancy W's Cooper (38mpg for the trip - not counting TOTD runs!!), and a chrome bumper Midget (not sure of the owner?)

"I did not hear this car run. Open headers!"

"My Stalker pic was a little fuzzy, so I hope he doesn't mind but I stole one from Dennis' site..."

Sorry Mazda, but if that's the same black and yellow Stalker, it had a side exhaust at TOTD. :)

Cartier-Bresson spoke of a "decisive moment"...the instant of capturing an image in a camera and how that's different than painting.

I encourage everyone to check out both killboy.com and zeefoto.com to find their favorite "decisive moment"...I happened to find mine at killboy.com (though there are some great ones at zee of other Se7eners).

This was after running out of gas and Norm B. coming to the rescue, I bet Norm and Sallie are just around the curve behind me, but this shot looks like we have the Dragon all to ourselves:

FYI,

777 was an event I will never forget. Meeting everyone, seeing the cars and driving THE ROAD was one of the most fun events I have ever attended. Many thanks to Al and Mazda.

Since the trip I have been collecting 777 photos for anywhere I can find them. So far I have collected 259 great photos. I guess the goal is to place as many as possible on USB drives or in Power Point and redistribute them to the group or to have them posted on this site for easy download to members. I will talk to Mazda about that.

If you wish to contribute you photos to the cause send them to me:

On line - michael@mjdpc.com

Mail - Michael Dougherty

4910 Edgemoor La.

Bethesda, MD 20814

Thanks for your contribuions.

Michael D.

X-Post from the event thread...

Tx. Michael for being one of the biggest cheerleaders of the event since last June. One of my favorite things about the weekend was driving up to the Crossroads on Friday AM and Saturday AM and seeing Se7ens waiting for us. You and Norm B on that wet Friday AM and Cherik, Jeff P., and Graeme G. on that Saturday...with the Ohio reinforcements rolling up as we were heading out.

Can anyone who was in this shot (and the others set up by David from Hemmings) who might have out takes please email me your shots?

TIA.
