xcarguy Posted February 8, 2015 Posted February 8, 2015 Planning on running at Barber March 28 and 29 with Rezoom Motorsports. So far, it looks like Mario and I will be there with our Storkers. If anyone else is interested and can make it out, it would be great to have another Seven or few on track. As for the track, Barber flows well and looks to be very fluid (great for Sevens). I believe Tom (yellowss7) is familiar and can confirm. As for accommodations, there is a Hampton Inn about one mile outside of the Barber entrance. They are racer-friendly and offer an $89/night discount rate for Rezoom participants. MightyMike Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 Sure wish I could join you. Sounds like a lot of fun.
xcarguy Posted February 17, 2015 Author Posted February 17, 2015 Mario and I are committed to Barber for March 28, 29. There's still openings available with Rezoom if anyone else can come out.
Martin H Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 So how was the circuit? Saw the Indycar race there on TV last week and the track looks fantastic!
Croc Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 Sadly Shane did not make the event thanks to this little incident a month earlier: http://www.usa7s.net/vb/showthread.php?10354-XCarGuy I have talked with him and he will be fine - a little family love, a nice nurse, a couple of beers and a bit of humor is all he needs! I agree with you though on Barber circuit - The Indy race was a cracker and what a top looking circuit! One day I will get there....next year since France and Spain are in the works this year.
DeanG Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 I like the circuit except for turn 2. To my sensibilities it is tough to know where I am and where I need to go. It has very good facilities. They keep them that way be being sticklers for proper disposal of fluids, garbage...

Barber is still on the radar. Perhaps next year.......once all the smoke clears. I'm still on the mend, and the Stalker is still sitting on the lift, awaiting resolve. :willy_nilly:
Martin H Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 Feeling somewhat embarrassed and stupid not to have picked that up! My apologies - I only tend to dip into this forum on an infrequent basis. Shane - hope you continue to improve, and that the car follows soon behind!
