Remember, you also have to pay 5% of the final bid to BAT and you need to add another $1-2K for shipping the vehicle to you. So you are then around $30K out of pocket. And who knows what Jloehlein's threshold was? Might have gone a lot higher.

Indeed.

Out of fairness I think Jloehlein should send me half the savings ;)

I could easily see this as a $40-45K car.

One similar to it here, with a maxed out engine but without a supercharger, is being offered at 41K. Prolly 280 HP.

Hah, my max going in was $24k, plus the $1k fee and $2k for enclosed transport. I went over by a little bit, but think it will be worth it. It helps that I am sharing the car with a friend, so we each get like 80% of the benefit for 50% of the cost.

Looks like a great car and by how excited everyone is to see it (fly by), I think you got a good deal.:grouphug: Esp if Tom C built it.

My (made up) excuse for not bidding, PA requires 11 inch windshield, wipers and washer fluid. :nopity:Don't trust any alternative facts presented on this point by Croc, Kitcat and YellowSS...:troll:

I have a very similar car from TMW that I rebuilt and detuned to get all dialed in and am in the process of bringing the HP back up. The car is an absolute hoot, you'll love it!
