Fantastic price and Service through the whole order/build process. locost7018
Nice car. Like the color. I just drove some killer roads between Poughkeepsie and Hartford on Monday. You have some great roads out there. Just watch out for the black bears. Almost hit one near Goshen. Russ
SK400
Pickles looks like a terrific ride! congrats! I also live in CT..close to the Stamford area. Where are you approx? Also have you considered Montana for plates? simplifies the whole process.
pickles
Hi SK400 I am near Mystic close to the RI border. I did a bit of research on the Montana LLC/Registration. The bit that got me worried was on the insurance side, so at the moment I think am going to proceed down the register in CT route. I fully expect one trip to the DMV will make me regret this decision. :-) Pickles
Davemk1
I live in Montana and can tell you that they are setting up changes that will make the Montana route a bit harder and more expensive. I don't know the particulars (since I live in the state it's of no concern to me) but i would double check the MT procedure before counting on it. I'm not sure when the new rules take effect but they were in the local news a lot a few weeks back so I suspect that they will start in 2018. Worth checking on just in case. dave
Hettric
Don't know if this helps; In 2012 I bought a Caterham from CT that was registered with a CT issued VIN# in 1998 so it was possible then. It's also the same VIN # used currently registered in MA. It had bumpers that were required there (as the only change) but I did not need here. When I looked into the CT process at the time it seemed straightforward compared to what I faced here. You might search this site, I think someone else registered a Caterham in CT not too long ago, they expressed an interest in the bumpers I removed. Good luck Eric
