Massachusetts Crush Car

In Massachusetts, if you crush a 1973 or older car which has been registered in MA for at least one year within the past five years, you can make one replica or kit car emissions exempt for life. I am not making this up - it is a real thing. If you are in MA, and need to go this route to get your Seven on the road, contact me ASAP. I have the car you need.

i'm not even going to try to register in MA.

Screw em, they're a pain in the ass. If I get a 7 or other kit car it'll be going in the name of a company either in Montana, or try to be somewhat legit, and register it under a company in Maine

BlueBDA - I purchased a Birkin and intending on registering it Massachusetts. This car falls into a real gray area that has several potential paths to registration as it is already titled and registered in another site. Given the MA regulations leave a lot to be desired in clarity and the inability to get a definitive answer from the MAC center I am wondering if your crush car is still available?

Of course, there may have been some changes since then. I know the state changed contractors shortly after I went through. I expect the new guys have made some changes.

Quite true. Though the rules can seem involved in MA, in my own experience the bark is much worse than the bite. I've been able to navigate salvage titles, out of state temporary plates, and estate transfers of titles with minimal hassle. My habit is to attempt the simplest path but have the documentation ready to adapt as needed.
