solder_guy Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 The pipe wrench ended up being the right tool for the job: Note to self: Next trip .. remember to take pipe wrench. BTW: I have the exact same Yokohama tires! Rob
soareyes Posted August 23, 2007 Author Posted August 23, 2007 The first part of the day was through Mt. I can think of some interesting captions for this photo, but maybe I better not post them: http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/159389711_DSCN2403.jpg Seven Sevens on the way out of the park: http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/835925043_DSCN2405.jpg
slomove Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 Not Ed's shot but I took a similar one: http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/166190779_SlomoveRainier.jpg Today was exhaust day: Ed's broken exhaust mounting bolt (hose clamp fix) and Louise and Tom's exhaust broken straight through at the collector (no picture but that will need welding). http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1980913503_EdExhaust.jpg
soareyes Posted August 23, 2007 Author Posted August 23, 2007 A couple more before dinner: We were out of the forest into the desert in just a few miles: http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/326093968_DSCN2415.jpg Then into farm land: http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/481896194_DSCN2425.jpg Finally arriving at the motel in Leavenworth, Washington: http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/292091946_DSCN2426.jpg Ein bier, bitte!

JohnCh Posted August 24, 2007 Posted August 24, 2007 Doh! I just discovered that Canon doesn't make Vista compatible drivers for my camera. Oh well, it looks like no pics from me on this thread. :banghead: -John
slngsht Posted August 24, 2007 Posted August 24, 2007 Goodnight! hmm, can't post any more pics. Mazda, are we out of space? Nope. Working OK for me. What does it do when you try to upload a pic? http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1379572200_DSCF1319.jpg
Al N. Posted August 24, 2007 Posted August 24, 2007 Guys, thanks for the posts and pix. Wasn't Chuck Spera supposed to meet up with you guys? I had sent some club swag out with him on this assumption...also, exactly how quick is John's Duratec car? And didn't someone else (I think the guy who bought Rex's Yellow car) have that exhaust cracking problem too? I think it happened on his drive home from Arizona. Used that fiberglass tape stuff to patch it up IIRC.
JohnCh Posted August 24, 2007 Posted August 24, 2007 Al, my car isn't that quick (it only has about 210hp). Now Ed's car...that's a different story -John
soareyes Posted August 24, 2007 Author Posted August 24, 2007 Al, Chuck wasn't able to make the trip. edit - Mazda, I guess loading pics is working ok, test picture of me on the 2005 tour: http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1104367858_DSCN1982.JPG
Al N. Posted August 24, 2007 Posted August 24, 2007 Stan - you fit in a Seven? Wow. Do you guys know if Chuck sent the stuff out or should I follow up with him...it's a shame if not, I had set aside some notebooks and stuff for you all.
stevet Posted August 24, 2007 Posted August 24, 2007 Hopefully Ed will post the shot he was taking. I can think of some interesting captions for this photo, but maybe I better not post them: I think that's called the Lotus Position Sorry, couldn't resist.
solder_guy Posted August 24, 2007 Posted August 24, 2007 test picture of me on the 2005 tour: Gotta be the Oregon coast. Rob
Woody Harris Posted August 24, 2007 Posted August 24, 2007 Do you guys know if Chuck sent the stuff out or should I follow up with him...it's a shame if not, I had set aside some notebooks and stuff for you all. Al, Chuck shipped the goodies to me, I gave them to Gert, and he distributed them at the kick-off barbeque. Thanks, Woody
WestTexasS2K Posted August 24, 2007 Posted August 24, 2007 Chuck has a seriously ill family member and had to cancel. He was really looking forward to it. Hopefully he will be able to make Run N Gun.

Thanks, Woody Small correction....Yes I got the stuff from Woody but no, I did not distribute this yet because people have little luggage space. It is on the support truck and I will distribute the goodies as we part ways. Gert
