Looking for beat up headrest for modification

Hello,

I'm looking for a headrest for my 2003 SV seat for modification. It need not be pretty!

 

The issue is when I have a helmet on the current headrest pushes my head forward by the thickness of the helmet and it's darn uncomfortable. I'm looking for a headrest I could modify and swap in when I'm using a helmet. I could likely even use just the "stem" and work from there!

Have you tried turning the headrest around as mine are thicker on the front than rear so would probably sort the issue.

I was able to turn the headrest around. The angle is kind of wonky, but it may be an improvement. I'll have to grab the helmet and try it today.

 

The Caterham 1/2 headrest would likely do the trick, I'm just hoping for a less expensive option !

Turning the headrest worked pretty darn well. It's still a bit too thick, but it's a TON better than it was. Thanks for the idea! I'll test it at the next AutoX. Maybe the headrest is why I hit all those cones...
